
Senior Project Manager, Events

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Take ownership of the complete project planning and execution for several assigned events occurring simultaneously.
• Transition swiftly and seamlessly between events at various stages: one in the planning phase, one in final preparations, and one concluding.
• Oversee the entire logistics checklist for events, including venue and vendor coordination, participant invitations and communications, budget management, on-site execution, and post-event follow-up.
• Make timely decisions regarding scope, resources, and sequencing as situations evolve.
• Assist junior Project Managers by providing them with comprehensive context about events from the design phase.
• Coordinate dependencies between events and across various functions such as content, communications, operations, and technical infrastructure.
• 5-8 years of experience in managing large-scale or high-complexity events from inception to completion.
• Proven experience in concurrently managing a high volume of events.
• Capable of retaining a significant amount of detail across multiple workstreams while maintaining a broad perspective.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment with a busy workload.
• Demonstrated ability to manage various stakeholders, competing timelines, and overlapping priorities with assurance.
• Experience in coordinating remote individuals, teams, event contributors, and vendors across different time zones and cultures.
• Strong background in logistics, vendor and venue management, and on-site operations.
• Proficient in project management tools (e.g., Asana, Coda, Airtable).
• Clear, organized, and proactive communicator comfortable with drafting external emails, internal briefings, and playbooks.
• Proven capability to work independently, navigate ambiguity, and make sound judgments under pressure.
