This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Assist the Senior Manager DC in developing operational capabilities by contributing to SOP creation, evaluating tools, designing processes, and testing new collection methods as the function expands.
• Organize and oversee a portfolio of DC projects (onsite, studio, remote) from start to finish; establish priorities, milestones, and transitions across various time zones.
• Manage the DC portfolio tracker and dashboard; conduct regular delivery reviews to assess project status, contributor pipeline, and quality outcomes (status, risk, escalations); notify the Senior Manager DC of risks and escalations with clear options and potential impacts.
• Anticipate and secure contributor capacity across different modalities, locations, and project types for the portfolio; identify capacity risks and conflicts across programs.
• Collaborate with the Quality team on acceptance criteria, QC rubrics, audits, and corrective measures; ensure that quality standards are consistently applied across all projects and modalities.
• Detect and address manual or inefficient processes within DC workflows; maintain SOPs; promote the use of DC tools across the team.
• Oversee relationships with DC vendors in accordance with established SLAs and playbooks; evaluate performance and initiate improvements or changes as necessary.
• Develop and monitor project and portfolio budgets, expenditures, and margins; manage change orders to safeguard financial results.
• Conduct root-cause analyses and corrective action plans; escalate significant issues with potential solutions and impacts.
• Facilitate portfolio-level planning and client reviews; clearly articulate results, risks, and subsequent steps; manage escalations and changes in scope.
• Mentor DC PMs (P1-P2) and coordinators on delivery, quality assurance, and DC-specific tools and workflows; assist in onboarding and skills development (formal line management is not required).
• Ensure compliance with data handling, consent, PII, and information security policies across all DC workstreams.
• Collect feedback, provide training and coaching, promote team cohesion, conduct performance evaluations, and support staffing and retention initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with the recruitment team to oversee DC hiring activities by communicating role requirements, project pipeline, and candidate status; assess, evaluate, and select suitable candidates and determine next steps (e.g., assessments, interviews, or further evaluations).
• 3 - 4 years of experience leading multi-project portfolios or large multi-workstream programs in data collection, content operations, annotation, or related fields.
• Experience in contributor capacity planning, vendor management, and quality systems.
• Familiarity with piloting or scaling process improvements is advantageous.
• Proven experience in managing or mentoring junior team members.
• Expertise in portfolio planning and governance across multiple concurrent DC projects.
• Ability to communicate clearly with senior clients and internal leaders; confident in leading planning and governance reviews.
• Proficient in using spreadsheets, PM/task boards, and basic business intelligence tools.
• Strong judgment regarding scope, time, cost, and quality trade-offs.
• Skilled in negotiating and escalating issues to resolve risks, challenges, and changes.
• Possesses a coaching mindset; provides guidance to DC PMs (P1-P2) and coordinators.
• Comfortable collaborating with global, distributed teams.
• Adaptable to working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with the ability to create structure when necessary.
• Experienced with data collection platforms, contributor management systems, and annotation tools.
• Knowledgeable about data submission, validation workflows, and session operations.
• Familiarity with QA, rubric design, or compliance frameworks (GDPR, COPPA, PII handling) is a plus.
• Capable of working independently and managing complex workflows in a remote setting.
• Multilingual skills are advantageous.
• Responsible for the delivery outcomes of a portfolio of DC projects.
• Works autonomously; defines delivery methods and engages the Senior Manager DC for non-standard or high-impact issues.
• Shares accountability for quality outcomes with the Quality team; collaborates closely with the Senior Manager DC on delivery planning and escalations.
