Senior Project Manager – Building Assessment Equity Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Conduct advanced Property Condition Assessments for existing commercial properties

• Oversee new construction and renovation initiatives

• Support energy and ADA audits

• Evaluate and report on property conditions spanning various commercial property types and building systems

• Perform forensic evaluations of major building systems and compromised conditions

• Capture photographs of site and building system conditions

• Conduct interviews and gather research on property maintenance history

• Complete technical reviews of Property Condition Assessments (PCAs)

• Mentor and train junior Project Managers

• Lead the team during intricate site visits

• Suggest maintenance actions and estimated costs utilizing cost and recommendation libraries

• Engage with clients and other professionals during site visits

• Participate in client conference calls

• Prepare condition and status reports using company templates

• Conduct public records research related to building, zoning, and fire code violations

• Visit sites to monitor construction and evaluate contractors’ payment requisitions

• Recommend disbursement of construction funds

• Assess compliance of as-built conditions against contract drawings and specifications

• Review construction schedules, trade payment breakdowns, job cost reports, and payment requisitions

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Provide timely responses and proactive solutions to clients

⛳️ Requirements

• 8 to 12+ years of experience in conducting forensic assessments of major building systems and conditions

• Expertise and experience in assessing various property types

• Knowledge of entitlement and permitting processes, along with construction delivery methods and agreements

• Familiarity with construction best practices and general building codes

• Previous experience in construction administration, management, architecture, engineering, or similar fields

• Past experience performing PCAs or associated projects

• Knowledge of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, or HUD guidelines and Property Needs Assessments

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

• Excellent writing and communication skills

• Background in architecture, engineering, building forensics, or construction management

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction is required

• Registered Architect (R.A.) or Professional Engineer (P.E.) is preferred

• Willing to travel as necessary

• Capable of working independently on multiple projects under tight deadlines

• Ability to occasionally climb ladders to access two- and three-story low-slope roofs

• Comfortable working outdoors and navigating stairs, sites, and building interiors

• Able to work in all weather conditions

• Physically able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
