This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.
• Supervise the completion of various projects and assignments, encompassing planning, monitoring progress and accuracy, as well as evaluating results.
• Assess project requirements and quotes to confirm that materials and costs are accurately represented.
• Ensure comprehension and approval of contractual agreements while fulfilling Core & Main obligations.
• Proactively identify, communicate, and resolve operational issues to minimize delays.
• Guarantee the timely delivery of correct materials and supplies.
• Facilitate collaboration with internal support teams, external vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Provide regular updates on project status to stakeholders.
• Engage with upper management regarding project status and related concerns.
• Review plans and schedules for adherence to the master schedule and resolve any conflicts.
• Participate in or lead weekly or monthly meetings.
• Monitor open jobs to track and report project status while identifying deviations or adverse trends.
• Coordinate project support from inception through to completion.
• Interact with existing customers to enhance sales and expand the Treatment Plant business.
• Offer reliable support to new accounts, retain existing accounts, and increase opportunities with current customers.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Must successfully complete pre-employment assessment(s) if applicable.
• Typically requires a BS/BA in a related discipline.
• Generally requires 2–5 years of experience in a related field, or an MS/MA with 2–4 years of relevant experience.
• Certification may be required in certain areas.
• 5–8 years of prior experience specifically in bid preparation, sales, or construction.
• Experience in Treatment Plant operations.
• Strong computer proficiency.
• Extensive knowledge of waterworks materials.
• Experience in a relationship- and service-oriented position within manufacturing, distribution, or construction management.
• Formal project management training and/or PMI Certification is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with order entry, inventory management, and supply chain logistics processes and systems.
• DBIA and/or PMP certification is an advantage.
• Remote work arrangement.
• Overnight travel is less than 10% of the time.
