Senior Project Manager – Building Assessment Equity Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct increasingly intricate Property Condition Assessments (PCAs) for existing commercial properties.

• Supervise new construction or renovation undertakings.

• Provide support for energy and ADA audits.

• Evaluate and report on commercial properties encompassing a variety of property types and building systems.

• Execute forensic evaluations of significant building systems and compromised conditions.

• Capture photographic evidence of site and building system conditions.

• Carry out interviews and research regarding property maintenance history.

• Complete thorough technical reviews of PCAs.

• Mentor and train junior-level Project Managers.

• Act as Team Lead during intricate site visits.

• Suggest maintenance actions and estimated costs utilizing cost and recommendation libraries.

• Engage with clients and other professionals during site visits.

• Participate in client conference calls.

• Prepare condition and status reports following in-house templates.

• Investigate public records for building, zoning, and fire code violations.

• Conduct site visits to oversee construction and assess contractors’ payment requisitions.

• Recommend the release of construction funds.

• Ensure adherence of as-built conditions to contract drawings and specifications.

• Review construction timelines, trade payment breakdowns, job cost reports, and payment requisitions.

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Provide prompt responses and proactive solutions for clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8 to 12+ years of experience in conducting forensic assessments of major building systems and conditions.

• Expertise and experience in assessing diverse property types.

• Familiarity with entitlement/permitting processes and construction delivery methods and agreements.

• Knowledge of construction best practices, general building codes, and various building types.

• Prior experience in construction administration, management, architecture, engineering, or related fields.

• Experience in performing PCAs or similar projects.

• Knowledge of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, or HUD guidelines and Property Needs Assessments.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

• Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Advanced writing and communication abilities.

• Capable of engaging with individuals at all levels.

• Willingness to travel when necessary.

• Ability to work efficiently and independently on multiple projects within tight deadlines.

• Capacity to occasionally climb ladders to reach two- and three-story, low-slope roofs.

• Capability to work outdoors and navigate stairs, sites, and building interiors.

• Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction is required.

• Registration as an Architect (R.A.) or Professional Engineer (P.E.) is preferred.
