Senior Project Manager – Building Assessment Equity Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Conduct increasingly intricate Property Condition Assessments (PCAs) of existing commercial properties.

• Oversee new construction or renovation initiatives.

• Support energy efficiency and ADA compliance audits.

• Perform forensic evaluations of significant building systems and distressed conditions.

• Capture photographic documentation of site and building system conditions.

• Engage in interviews and conduct research regarding property maintenance history.

• Complete technical reviews of Property Condition Assessments.

• Mentor and train junior Project Managers.

• Act as Team Lead during intricate site visits.

• Propose maintenance actions and estimated costs for building systems.

• Collaborate with clients and other professionals during site visits.

• Participate in client conference calls.

• Draft condition and status reports utilizing in-house templates.

• Investigate public records for building, zoning, and fire code violations.

• Conduct site visits to oversee construction and assess payment requests.

• Recommend the release of construction funds.

• Ensure compliance of as-built conditions with contract drawings and specifications.

• Review construction schedules, payment breakdowns, job cost reports, and payment requests.

• Manage multiple projects while providing timely and proactive service to clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8 to 12+ years of experience conducting forensic assessments of major building systems and conditions.

• Expertise in assessing a variety of property types.

• Familiarity with entitlement and permitting processes as well as construction delivery methods and agreements.

• Knowledge of construction best practices, general building codes, and various building types.

• Background in construction administration, management, architecture, engineering, or similar fields.

• Previous experience performing PCAs or related projects.

• Experience with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, or HUD guidelines and Property Needs Assessments.

• Detail-oriented and organized.

• Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Strong writing and communication skills.

• Friendly and capable of engaging with individuals at all levels.

• Willingness to travel when necessary.

• Ability to work independently on multiple projects under tight deadlines.

• Capability to occasionally climb ladders to access two- and three-story, low-slope roofs.

• Ability to work outdoors and navigate stairs, sites, and building interiors.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction is required.

• Registered Architect (R.A.) or Professional Engineer (P.E.) designation is preferred.

• Capacity to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
