Senior Project Manager – Building Assessment Equity Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Conduct increasingly sophisticated Property Condition Assessments (PCAs) of existing commercial properties.

• Oversee new construction or renovation initiatives.

• Support energy and ADA audits.

• Carry out forensic evaluations of significant building systems and compromised conditions.

• Capture photographic evidence of site and building system conditions.

• Engage in interviews and research regarding property maintenance history.

• Finalize technical reviews of PCAs.

• Provide training and mentorship to junior Project Managers.

• Act as Team Lead during intricate site visits.

• Suggest maintenance actions and estimated costs utilizing cost and recommendation libraries.

• Collaborate with clients and other professionals during site visits.

• Participate in client conference calls.

• Prepare condition and status reports using in-house templates.

• Conduct public records research on building, zoning, and fire code violations.

• Visit sites to supervise construction and assess contractors’ payment requests.

• Recommend the release of construction funds.

• Ensure compliance of as-built conditions with contract drawings and specifications.

• Analyze construction schedules, trade payment breakdowns, job cost reports, and payment requisitions.

• Manage multiple projects while delivering timely and proactive client service.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8 to 12+ years of experience in performing forensic assessments of major building systems and conditions.

• Knowledge and experience in evaluating various property types.

• Understanding of entitlement/permitting processes and construction delivery methods and agreements.

• Familiarity with construction best practices, general building codes, and diverse building types.

• Previous experience in construction administration, management, architecture, engineering, or similar fields.

• Experience in performing PCAs or related projects.

• Familiarity with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, or HUD guidelines and Property Needs Assessments.

• Detail-oriented and organized individual.

• Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Strong writing and communication capabilities.

• Ability to engage with individuals at all levels.

• Willingness to travel as necessary.

• Capability to work independently on multiple projects under tight deadlines.

• Ability to occasionally climb ladders to access two- and three-story, low-slope roofs.

• Capacity to work outdoors and navigate stairs, sites, and building interiors.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction is required.

• Registered Architect (R.A.) or Professional Engineer (P.E.) is preferred.

• Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
