Senior Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee intricate enterprise infrastructure and technology transformation initiatives for clients.

• Direct projects that cover campus and data center networking, network upgrades and migrations, firewall implementations, wireless LAN, SD-WAN, unified communications, data center relocations, enterprise security, and cloud connectivity or hybrid infrastructure.

• Coordinate project efforts with business owners, stakeholders, support teams, technical infrastructure teams, and application teams.

• Collaborate with engineering architects and technical leads on project scope, dependencies, implementation risks, and deployment strategies.

• Manage initiatives across networking, security, collaboration, cloud, and infrastructure engineering disciplines.

• Facilitate technical planning sessions, implementation readiness reviews, cutover planning, risk assessments, and post-implementation reviews.

• Identify infrastructure risks and devise mitigation strategies.

• Oversee projects involving OEMs, carriers, cloud providers, and third-party implementation partners.

• Monitor activities and deliverables to ensure timely, budget-compliant delivery and customer satisfaction.

• Ensure service levels and Statement of Work deliverables meet quality benchmarks.

• Manage all stages of projects, including requirements, design, development, testing, and deployment.

• Organize resources and assignments, encompassing project approach, staffing, responsibilities, and schedules.

• Define roles and expectations for team members and ensure effective communication.

• Maintain project budgets through weekly timesheet and expense approvals.

• Track costs, project duration, materials, services, carriers, and equipment suppliers.

• Supervise change management related to project scope.

• Cultivate long-term partner relationships with clients.

• Stay updated on relevant solutions, products, and services.

• Engage in internal PM training, meetings, developmental goals, certifications, and practice-development initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8–10 years of experience managing intricate enterprise IT infrastructure projects.

• Proven experience in delivering projects related to enterprise routing and switching, campus and core networking, data center infrastructure, firewalls, network security, secure access, wireless infrastructure, SD-WAN, network modernization, unified communications, VoIP, Microsoft Teams Voice, Cisco collaboration infrastructure, refresh projects, or enterprise technology migrations.

• Experience managing multiple enterprise infrastructure projects concurrently, ranging from $100K to multi-million-dollar engagements.

• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional engineering teams across networking, security, cloud, collaboration, and data center practices.

• Experience in managing communications at the executive level with clients.

• Capability to translate complex technical concepts into business language for executive stakeholders.

• Excellent risk management and issue resolution skills.

• Strong understanding of infrastructure deployment methodologies, implementation sequencing, maintenance windows, and production cutovers.

• Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and with high customer satisfaction.

• Strong consultative approach to engaging with customers.

• Experience in identifying project risks before they escalate into customer issues.

• Ability to balance customer expectations with delivery excellence.

• PMP certification required.

• CAPM certification required.

• Preferred experience leading projects involving Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), hybrid cloud, cloud networking, cloud security, virtualization, disaster recovery, or backup solutions.

• ITIL Foundation preferred.

• Cisco CCNA or equivalent infrastructure knowledge preferred.

• Microsoft Azure Fundamentals preferred.

• AWS Cloud Practitioner preferred.

• Agile/Scrum certification preferred.
