Project Manager III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of designated projects and programs from the handoff of contracts through to formal closure across all stages of the project lifecycle.

• Manage up to 30 simultaneous projects, including extensive customer portfolios.

• Analyze contracts to define project scope, services, and deliverables.

• Record scope in operational and project management systems, initiating change requests as necessary.

• Create and uphold project plans, schedules, resource plans, execution strategies, and milestones.

• Lead retrofit and upgrade projects within occupied residential areas.

• Organize unit-by-unit and building-by-building sequencing, access for occupied units, and communication with residents.

• Supervise the deployment of smart home devices, access control systems, IoT sensors, community Wi-Fi, network infrastructure, and resident technology platforms.

• Coordinate the validation of device compatibility, programming, and activation within STRATIS IoT and associated platforms.

• Evaluate installation accuracy and quality against established requirements, standards, and customer expectations.

• Confirm project completion, oversee formal closure, archive as-built and final documentation, and transfer project data to Support.

• Manage field services, installation partners, subcontractors, supply chain, logistics, engineering, and customer stakeholders.

• Collaborate with teams from Sales, Customer Success, Operations, Engineering, Product, Supply Chain, Carrier Management, and Field Services.

• Identify, communicate, and address project risks, concerns affecting residents, site preparedness issues, and construction challenges.

• Escalate issues to senior leadership and property stakeholders while standing firm on scope decisions.

• Oversee project budgets, margins, change orders, forecast accuracy, invoicing milestones, revenue recognition milestones, and profitability objectives.

• Spot cost-saving opportunities and monitor quality, cost, schedule, change order, and sales metrics.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as project management, engineering, information technology, computer science, or business administration; equivalent experience will be considered.

• At least 5 years of experience in project management.

• Proven leadership in complex retrofit and upgrade initiatives within occupied residential settings.

• Experience ideally in construction, telecommunications, low voltage, security, or technology installation.

• Willingness to travel as necessary to project sites, customer properties, and vendor locations.

• Background in deploying and supporting smart building technologies and network infrastructure, including Wi-Fi, BLE, Z-Wave, LoRa, and access control platforms such as Brivo, ButterflyMX, and Chirp.

• Strong project financial management capabilities, including budgeting, forecasting, change orders, revenue tracking, cost analysis, and profitability oversight.

• Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities, with the capacity to influence executive audiences and navigate complex customer environments.

• Proficient in data analysis, problem-solving, risk management, interpreting technical documentation and blueprints, and adapting to evolving project requirements and priorities.

• Highly organized, self-driven professional with strong skills in Microsoft Office and project management tools.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

• Capable of operating a personal computer.

• May need to lift or move items weighing over 10 pounds.
