Senior Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Direct complex enterprise infrastructure and technology transformation initiatives for clients.

• Oversee projects related to campus and data center networking, network upgrades and migrations, firewall implementations, wireless LAN, SD-WAN, unified communications, data center modernization, enterprise security, as well as cloud or hybrid infrastructure.

• Coordinate project efforts with business owners, stakeholders, support teams, technical infrastructure teams, and application teams.

• Collaborate with engineering architects and technical leads to grasp scope, dependencies, implementation risks, and deployment strategies.

• Manage projects across the domains of networking, security, collaboration, cloud, and infrastructure engineering.

• Facilitate technical planning sessions, implementation readiness evaluations, cutover planning, risk assessments, and post-implementation analyses.

• Identify infrastructure risks and formulate mitigation strategies.

• Oversee projects involving OEMs, carriers, cloud service providers, and third-party implementation partners.

• Monitor activities and deliverables to guarantee timely, budget-compliant delivery and customer satisfaction.

• Ensure that service levels and Statement of Work deliverables adhere to quality standards.

• Manage all phases of projects, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.

• Plan and allocate resources, responsibilities, staffing, schedules, and project methodologies.

• Define roles and expectations for team members and ensure effective communication.

• Maintain project budgets through weekly approvals of timesheets and expenses.

• Track project costs, carriers, equipment suppliers, hardware, circuits, and billing.

• Supervise change management related to project scope.

• Cultivate long-term relationships with clients and Presidio.

• Stay updated on relevant solutions, products, and services through training, meetings, developmental goals, and certifications.

• Contribute to the development of Program and Project Management practices and internal change initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8–10 years of experience in managing complex enterprise IT infrastructure projects.

• Proven experience in delivering projects that involve enterprise routing and switching, campus and core networking, data center infrastructure, firewalls, network security, secure access, wireless infrastructure, SD-WAN, network modernization, unified communications, VoIP, Microsoft Teams Voice, Cisco collaboration frameworks, refresh projects, and enterprise technology migrations.

• Experience in simultaneously managing multiple enterprise infrastructure projects ranging from $100K to multi-million-dollar engagements.

• Demonstrated capability to lead cross-functional engineering teams in networking, security, cloud, collaboration, and data center practices.

• Experience in managing executive-level customer communications.

• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business language for executive stakeholders.

• Exceptional skills in risk management and issue resolution.

• Strong understanding of infrastructure deployment methodologies, implementation sequencing, maintenance windows, and production cutovers.

• Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and achieving high customer satisfaction.

• Strong consultative approach to customer engagement.

• Experience in identifying project risks before they escalate into customer issues.

• Ability to balance customer expectations with a commitment to delivery excellence.

• PMP certification is required.

• CAPM certification is required.

• Preferred experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS, hybrid cloud, cloud networking, cloud security, virtualization, disaster recovery, or backup solutions.

• ITIL Foundation certification is preferred.

• Cisco CCNA or equivalent infrastructure knowledge is preferred.

• Microsoft Azure Fundamentals certification is preferred.

• AWS Cloud Practitioner certification is preferred.

• Agile/Scrum certification is preferred.
