This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Take charge of the comprehensive delivery of large-scale, strategic projects characterized by high complexity, cross-functional impact, and visibility across the organization.
• Create and manage detailed project plans that encompass task dependencies, milestones, deliverables, and resource allocations.
• Work in partnership with Program Managers to ensure projects align with overarching program objectives, portfolio priorities, and strategic initiatives.
• Identify, evaluate, and prioritize risks; formulate and execute mitigation strategies.
• Navigate through ambiguity and changing requirements to keep projects progressing smoothly.
• Collaborate with department heads, product managers, and functional stakeholders to tackle challenges and achieve project goals.
• Deliver actionable project updates to senior leadership and influence strategic decision-making.
• Track project performance against scope, timeline, and budget; escalate issues and drive resolutions as necessary.
• Manage project financials, including budget planning, expense monitoring, and variance analysis.
• Ensure project documentation is thorough, precise, and easily accessible.
• Promote cross-functional collaboration and lead successful project completion.
• Mentor and support other project managers.
• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of project management processes, tools, and methodologies.
• Advocate for transparency, accountability, and a focus on results in execution.
• A minimum of 5 years of project management experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in the biotech, molecular diagnostics, medical device, or a similarly regulated life sciences sector.
• A minimum of 3 years leading complex, cross-functional product and software development projects.
• At least 3 years managing projects through various stages of the product development lifecycle.
• Familiarity with 510(k), PMA, or other comparable regulatory pathways.
• Capability to collaborate with program, portfolio, and functional leadership to facilitate project prioritization, resource allocation, risk management, and decision-making.
• Bachelor’s degree in project management, scientific, engineering, business, or a related field (preferred).
• PMP certification (preferred).
• At least 2 years of experience supporting or leading FDA-regulated product development (preferred).
