This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Oversee deployment and execution projects associated with GE Vernova’s small modular reactors (SMR).
• Assist the Project Director in the planning and execution of design and construction contracts for SMRs globally.
• Ensure timely project delivery while maintaining accountability for profit and loss and customer satisfaction.
• Manage the Project Risk Register and effectively communicate and mitigate project risks.
• Engage in and coordinate kickoff meetings with customers, internal teams, and suppliers.
• Structure project costs within Oracle ERP.
• Develop and maintain the project roster while tracking the completion of project-related training.
• Create and distribute the Project Work Plan, project plans, and project procedures.
• Facilitate the implementation of project plans and procedures within the project team.
• Administer and configure project documentation appropriately.
• Ensure adherence to U.S. export-control and other relevant requirements.
• Assist in the development and deployment of project infrastructure and tools.
• Coordinate project activities and monitor the progress of deliverables.
• Organize and archive all project correspondence and records.
• Confirm that project deliverables meet contract and project specifications.
• Lead the drafting and issuing of project management meeting notes, action items, and progress reports.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business from an accredited university or college.
• At least 5 years of experience in Project Management.
• A minimum of 3 years managing medium- to large-scale projects with multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.
• Capability to obtain U.S. government authorization to access U.S. export-controlled information, if necessary.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Successful completion of a drug screen, if applicable.
• PMP Certification.
• Experience in the nuclear power industry in operations or engineering.
• Familiarity with nuclear construction practices and Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) design.
• Experience with commercial negotiations.
• Ability to foresee and resolve complex issues.
• Skill in influencing stakeholders and building trust with customers, managers, and team members.
• Capacity to distill complex information and concentrate on critical priorities.
• Proficient in making decisions quickly and accurately based on available information.
• Experience working in a matrixed environment.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to lead programs or projects effectively.
