Senior Project Engineer – Mechanical

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Participate in various engineering activities, providing approvals for project plans related to gas transmission and natural gas pipeline initiatives.

• Obtain technical direction on new design subjects and work closely with senior engineers on tasks.

• Partner with Project Managers and Unit Leaders to advance intricate and technical engineering designs, enhancing processes and methodologies.

• Aid in proposal development by estimating engineering hours and ensuring adherence to quality control systems.

• Utilize complex technical data in designs to guarantee that projects comply with specifications.

• Oversee small, medium, and large multi-discipline projects, guiding the efforts of engineers, drafters, and designers while preparing intricate technical analyses.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited institution.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the pipeline industry or a related field.

• Familiarity with gas facility operations.

• Possession of a Professional Engineer (PE) License.

• Certification as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT).
