Senior Project Engineer – BEV Systems Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Focus on BEV powertrain and EV charging within Oshkosh Delivery.

• Assess, define, and integrate electronic control modules and electrical architectures for cutting-edge Delivery vehicle product lines.

• Compose, review, and oversee requirements using a requirements management tool.

• Analyze supplier specifications and provide guidance to internal teams for the integration of control modules.

• Review test cases and assist the vehicle verification and validation team in the accurate execution of these tests.

• Ensure traceability of requirements and validation outcomes.

• Assist with system-level safety analyses in collaboration with the functional safety team.

• Organize and coordinate configurations for various modules with suppliers.

• Create and document incident reports and tickets to address issues related to requirements, testing, or configurations.

• Proactively take steps to resolve outstanding issues.

• Manage the systems engineering requirements and test cases relevant to BEV powertrain and energy management.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, software, or a related field.

• Over 8 years of experience in the automotive industry.

• Proficiency in requirements management for systems engineering.

• Excellent presentation and communication abilities.

• Familiarity with CAN communication and protocols.

• Experience with J1772, DC charging, and digital communication.

• Willingness to travel occasionally to support vehicle testing, program milestones, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

• Master’s Degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, software, or a related field.

• Advanced knowledge of DOORS Next Gen or Jama requirements management tools.

• Proficient in tools such as Vector CANalyzer, CANoe, PEAK PCAN, Kvaser CANKing for diagnostics and troubleshooting.

• Experience with large OEM processes and procedures.
