Machine Learning Systems Engineer, Ads ML Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Create and develop data infrastructure that facilitates large-scale feature and training set computation, transformation, and storage.

• Construct frameworks for both batch and real-time features, emphasizing reliability, scalability, and user-friendliness.

• Establish platform capabilities for feature governance, which includes lineage tracking, validation, drift detection, anomaly monitoring, reproducibility, and versioning.

• Collaborate with ML engineers to ensure seamless integration of feature engineering workflows into ML production systems.

• Develop systems that enable agentic ML workflows, incorporating automated feature discovery, feature quality assessment, and feature lifecycle management.

• Drive operational excellence through observability, performance optimization, reliability engineering, and cost-saving initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in data infrastructure/platform engineering or ML infrastructure platforms.

• Practical experience in building production services, data pipelines, APIs, workflow systems, or developer tools.

• Proficiency with at least one distributed data or compute system, such as Spark, PySpark, Flink, Kafka, Ray, Airflow, Kubernetes, BigQuery, or similar technologies.

• Knowledge of ML data workflows, including feature generation, training dataset creation, batch processing, real-time data processing, model training, experimentation, or online serving.

• Strong programming skills with the ability to produce clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.

• Experience in developing intelligent automation or agentic workflows for ML systems is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with ML infrastructure and MLOps workflows that cover feature engineering, training pipelines, experimentation, model deployment, and online serving is a plus.
