Senior Project Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Indonesia.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete delivery of robotics and automation projects throughout Southeast Asia, guaranteeing effective deployment and customer acceptance.

• Create and manage project timelines, milestones, budgets, resources, and deliverables.

• Coordinate installation, commissioning, and activation processes at client locations in partnership with engineering and deployment teams.

• Ensure projects are carried out in accordance with the defined scope, schedules, quality benchmarks, and customer requirements.

• Act as the main point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.

• Foster strong relationships with client operations, engineering, and maintenance teams.

• Facilitate clear communication among customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

• Proactively manage project expectations, escalations, and change requests.

• Supervise system integration, testing, commissioning, and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) processes.

• Assist in technical decision-making and coordinate the resolution of issues related to AMRs, robotics software, navigation systems, PLCs, and automation infrastructure.

• Ensure adherence to safety regulations, operational standards, and industry practices.

• Review deployment documentation, commissioning reports, checklists, and acceptance records to confirm quality and completeness.

• Identify project risks, dependencies, and potential operational hurdles early, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.

• Monitor project performance and initiate corrective actions to uphold delivery timelines.

• Guarantee high-quality, consistent project results and continuous improvement across deployments.

• Collaborate closely with engineering, software, product, operations, and commercial teams to facilitate successful project execution.

• Organize knowledge transfer activities, version upgrades, and deployment readiness reviews.

• Ensure a smooth transition of projects to customer support and operations teams during hypercare and post-deployment phases.

• Prepare and deliver regular project status reports that outline progress, risks, challenges, and solutions.

• Assist with deployments and customer interactions across Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and other regional markets as needed.

• Travel both domestically and internationally to client sites for project execution, stakeholder meetings, and critical deployment tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related discipline.

• 5 to 8 years of experience in robotics, automation, or industrial systems.

• Strong understanding of robotic systems, including actuators, sensors, and control systems.

• Proficient in ROS (Robot Operating System) and Python programming.

• Excellent hands-on technical skills, including mechanical assembly, soldering, and crimping.

• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to excel in dynamic, fast-paced, collaborative settings.

• Proficiency in English is required; Mandarin is a plus.

• Willingness to travel extensively (70% field / 30% office).
