This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Oversee engineering operations from project award through design completion, construction assistance, commissioning, and project finalization.
• Create and update Basis of Design (BOD) documentation, conduct engineering reviews, respond to RFIs, and produce technical deliverables throughout the project duration.
• Coordinate engineering activities with Owners, Engineers of Record (EOR), Construction, Project Management, Integrated Supply Chain, and internal engineering teams.
• Evaluate engineering drawings, calculations, specifications, vendor submissions, and third-party engineering packages for quality assurance, constructability, and adherence to compliance standards.
• Assist procurement efforts by analyzing equipment selections, technical submissions, and vendor documentation.
• Oversee engineering modifications, technical risks, design updates, and field support tasks during the construction phase.
• Collaborate with construction teams to address field challenges and aid in commissioning tasks.
• Provide mentorship to Engineer I, Engineer II, and CAD Designers through technical advice, coaching, and the implementation of engineering best practices.
• Handle multiple simultaneous projects while ensuring engineering quality, adherence to schedules, and meeting client expectations.
• Recognize opportunities to enhance engineering standards, workflows, and project execution through continuous improvement efforts.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline from an ABET-accredited institution.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification is required, or the ability to obtain it within one year of employment.
• A minimum of four years of progressive engineering experience in utility-scale renewable energy, industrial, EPC, power generation, or heavy infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience managing multiple engineering priorities while working collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory motor vehicle driving record (MVR).
• Willingness to travel up to 50% to project locations based on project and business requirements.
• Experience in supporting utility-scale renewable energy projects through project engineering, construction support, and project completion.
• Strong comprehension of engineering design, constructability, procurement, commissioning, and project execution.
• Experience collaborating with Owners, Engineers of Record (EOR), EPC partners, Integrated Supply Chain, and Construction teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while upholding engineering quality, schedule adherence, and client satisfaction.
