Senior Project Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +44 more locations.

📋 Description

• Oversee the interior design initiatives for specialized or more intricate projects.

• Assist Project Designers in reviewing design deliverables for quality assurance.

• Aid in the onboarding and training processes for new Project Designers.

• Utilize expertise in space planning, interior building materials and finishes, casework, furniture, furnishings and equipment, lighting, acoustics, wayfinding, ergonomics, anthropometrics, and human environmental behavior.

• Implement the complete design process from the initial sketch to the commencement of construction.

• Conduct conceptual design, schematic design, design development, space planning, and construction documentation either independently or with minimal oversight.

• Create mood, material, and design presentations on your own or with limited supervision.

• Engage in internal and consultant meetings.

• Provide the team with knowledge of FF&E vendors and resources.

• Generate documents, drawings, and diagrams to align with client requirements and objectives.

• Facilitate client and stakeholder programming, surveys, focus groups, charrette exercises, and benchmarking to enhance design results and occupant satisfaction.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of four (4) years of design experience in the commercial real estate sector.

• Recent experience with Revit is required.

• A preferred Bachelor’s degree from a CIDA accredited institution in a relevant discipline (such as Architecture, Interior Design, Corporate Real Estate, Facilities, Project or Construction Management) or a Bachelor’s degree in another field combined with an Interior Design Certification, Degree, or Diploma.

• Exceptional time management, communication, collaboration skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.

• Capability to work independently.

• Strong organizational skills.

• Experience coordinating Audio Visual and other specialized consultants.

• Proven ability to lead a team and delegate tasks effectively to allow team members to work autonomously.

• Competence in understanding, documenting, and confirming the goals and objectives of clients and stakeholders.

• Ability to gather data through programming, surveys, focus groups, charrette exercises, and benchmarking.
