This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of comprehensive program management for large-scale or highly complex Enterprise Technology & AI projects, which includes defining scope, developing roadmaps, planning resources, and tracking delivery.
• Establish and convey clear success metrics for each program, regularly reporting status and risks to Enterprise Technology & AI leadership, while escalating issues along with suggested solutions.
• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to gain a thorough understanding of underlying challenges, desired outcomes, and potential solution trade-offs.
• Foster cross-functional alignment by facilitating decision-making, resolving dependencies, and ensuring momentum is maintained across distributed teams.
• Suggest and implement enhancements to program governance frameworks, intake processes, and operational methodologies throughout the CIO organization.
• Convert complex technical and business requirements into clear, actionable work plans that are comprehensible to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Anticipate risks and interdependencies across the portfolio, proactively addressing blockers before they affect delivery.
• Exemplify GitLab values and best practices for remote work, contributing to a high-trust, asynchronous-first team culture.
• A minimum of 6 years of program management experience, showcasing a robust track record in delivering large, cross-functional Enterprise Technology & AI initiatives.
• Proven ability to simplify intricate processes and create structured approaches to ambiguous challenges.
• Experience in influencing without authority, establishing trust with senior stakeholders, and driving alignment across various functions, including Finance, Legal, Sales, and Product.
• Comfortable operating at both strategic levels and within the details, adept at switching between executive communication and hands-on program execution as required.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience in presenting program status, risks, and recommendations to ETA leadership and executive audiences.
• Familiarity with Enterprise IT domains such as business systems, data, AI, security, infrastructure, or enterprise architecture (depth in one or more areas is preferred).
• Proficient in program and project management tools and methodologies (Agile, Scrum, SAFe, or similar); PMP, CSM, or equivalent certification is a plus.
• Experience working in a remote, globally distributed environment, emphasizing asynchronous collaboration and clear documentation.
