This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversees the execution of multiple complex and highly visible enterprise-wide strategic programs to ensure successful completion.
• Leads the development and implementation of program plans, timelines, business cases, and the corresponding return on investment estimates and forecasts.
• Coordinates, directs, communicates, and reports on program status to all relevant stakeholders.
• Promotes the adoption and sustainability of changes within the program in accordance with EMC’s Change Management framework.
• Ensures that programs align with strategic objectives and long-term goals.
• Guarantees the alignment of programs and performance metrics across the organization.
• Facilitates communication for ongoing support, decision-making, and tracking of programs.
• Manages the visioning and planning of enterprise-wide strategic programs to successful completion.
• Engages with EMC leadership and key stakeholders to enhance strategic alignment and facilitate decision-making.
• Guides and resolves issues while ensuring that risks associated with business activities are identified, monitored, and effectively controlled.
• Oversees multiple teams in developing estimates, cost-benefit analyses, project delivery, and resource plans, schedules, and dependencies.
• Evaluates costs, benefits, and risks, and implements effective responses and appropriate resolutions.
• Provides overall vision and guidance for the program, fostering consensus and support throughout the program lifecycle.
• Applies risk management practices to address execution challenges related to quality, schedule, and cost, in line with project management frameworks.
• Supervises program planning, execution, and deployment.
• Reviews, discusses, submits, and/or approves all change requests and deliverables.
• Facilitates data collection and documentation, work categorization, and prioritization within the portfolio of enterprise-wide strategic programs.
• Manages enterprise-wide programs to enhance collaboration and ensure accountability.
• Collaborates with business partners to identify resources, form project teams, and allocate responsibilities across the working group.
• Fosters cooperation among initiative leaders, project managers, and delivery teams.
• Works with project stakeholders to devise a comprehensive risk mitigation plan.
• Clearly articulates project roles, responsibilities, and expectations to ensure appropriate accountability.
• Cultivates awareness, accountability, and alignment for program resources, ensuring deadlines are met and employees focus on value-added activities in order of priority.
• Removes obstacles across all initiatives.
• Escalates issues to sponsors and/or executive committees as necessary.
• Monitors project execution to deliver incremental business value.
• Collaborates with program leaders on direction and methodologies.
• Conducts training and offers support on non-strategic initiative projects as part of a center of enablement, including teaching project management methodologies.
• Partners with the Agile Delivery Enablement team to ensure a consistent, company-wide delivery approach and continuous improvement for business analysis, project and program management, and Agile delivery, aligning projects with the overall strategy and objectives of the organization.
• Mentors and coaches peers on best practices.
• Maintains an ongoing knowledge base of new and evolving program management, project management, and business analysis tools, skills, terminology, and processes.
• Assists with departmental communications and website content, as well as enhancing the portfolio, program, and project management software used in support.
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, management, computer science, or insurance, or equivalent relevant experience.
• A minimum of ten years of experience in project and/or program management or related fields.
• PMP (Project Management Professional) and/or PMI-ACP (Project Management Institute - Agile Certified Practitioner) certifications are preferred.
• Insurance certifications are preferred.
• Exceptional leadership, mentorship, and relationship-building capabilities.
• Advanced understanding of all facets of project management.
• Solid comprehension of Agile methodology and business analysis.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication, documentation, influencing, and presentation skills.
• Excellent organizational and analytical capabilities.
• Ability to simplify and convey highly complex issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Capacity to manage multiple projects while adhering to deadlines.
• Familiarity with change management concepts and practices.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Occasional travel required; a valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle report per company standards is required if driving.
