This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.
• Play an essential role in attracting leading science entrepreneurs to Activate programs.
• Concentrate on identifying and engaging potential future science entrepreneurs.
• Build and nurture relationships within the ecosystem to enhance outreach efforts.
• Represent Activate both virtually and in-person.
• Ensure a positive applicant experience within Activate programs.
• Analyze recruitment campaign data to improve future recruitment strategies.
• Create and maintain lists of potential applicants and external stakeholders.
• Conduct outreach to networks in academia, industry, government, and other ecosystems.
• Collaborate across departments to manage the year-round recruitment calendar.
• Ensure all recruitment deadlines are met and objectives are achieved.
• Cultivate relationships, implement recruitment strategies, attend events, and work with communities to develop diverse candidate pipelines.
• 4-6 years of experience in program management, fellowship management, or a related field (experience with science, engineering, or fellowship programs is a plus).
• Strong skills in event and logistics planning and execution; proven ability to manage complex projects involving multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent relationship-building and communication abilities; comfortable interacting with a diverse range of stakeholders from scientists to investors.
• Proficient in interpreting data outputs: capable of reading dashboards, reviewing reports, connecting insights to real-world scenarios, and formulating relevant questions.
• Skilled in utilizing data to narrate stories, prioritize tasks, align stakeholders, and highlight opportunities.
• Familiar with software tools—such as project management, data management, customer relationship management, applicant tracking systems, or surveys—and eager to learn new tools.
• Highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented.
• Experienced in representing an organization at events, with the ability to travel domestically and internationally (up to 25%).
