This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Act as a key member of the EC team tasked with the daily execution of the Ameren Illinois Fleet Assessment Program.
• Engage in outreach activities, including phone calls, emails, meetings, and follow-ups, to establish a network of program participants.
• Assist participants in gathering and processing fleet data, such as vehicle inventories, usage patterns, fuel consumption, and maintenance expenses, to facilitate thorough fleet assessments.
• Create total cost of ownership (TCO) fleet analysis models using the EC’s DRVE tool, review results with participants, and aid in decision-making regarding vehicle prioritization and procurement strategies.
• Monitor participant progress and support ongoing project oversight to ensure alignment with program objectives and timelines.
• Provide practical support to participating communities and partners as they transition from planning to implementation, working closely with Ameren Illinois staff.
• Establish and maintain robust working relationships with partners in government, utilities, academia, business, and nonprofit sectors.
• Organize and lead meetings, workshops, and planning sessions with program participants and stakeholders.
• Represent and present on behalf of EC at conferences, webinars, and stakeholder gatherings, including creating presentations and showcasing successful implementation stories.
• Promote information sharing and connections among stakeholders to further best practices, program design, and knowledge transfer.
• Monitor relevant federal, state, and local transportation electrification policies, funding opportunities, and industry trends.
• Review and compile guidance and program documentation to enhance outreach, planning, and implementation efforts.
• Create materials such as fact sheets, briefing memos, slide decks, and implementation resources.
• Collaborate with other EC teams, including Policy, Freight, and Campaigns, on joint initiatives, deliverables, and projects.
• Facilitate the execution and management of EC projects and programs by setting and monitoring outcomes, deliverables, staffing plans, timelines, and budgets.
• Provide regular updates to project partners and relevant stakeholders (e.g., funding organizations, interested parties, government entities, etc.).
• Contribute to the monitoring, evaluation, and documentation of program results, lessons learned, and best practices.
• Assist with proposal development and reporting processes for funders and/or clients, including content creation, editing, and leading collaborative planning sessions with external partners and internal team members.
• 2-5 years of relevant professional experience in transportation electrification, energy policy, utility programs, nonprofits, local or state government, consulting, or a related area.
• Proven experience in stakeholder engagement and relationship management, with ongoing outreach through phone, email, and meetings to recruit, retain, or influence participation in programs or initiatives.
• Strong comprehension of transportation electrification concepts, including EV fleets, charging infrastructure, utility programs, and/or federal and state funding mechanisms.
• Comfortable acting as an external-facing representative, including leading or supporting presentations, workshops, and stakeholder meetings.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience in producing clear, audience-specific materials.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining responsiveness, accountability, and proactive communication.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with project management tools like Monday.com is a plus.
