Senior Product Owner – Engineering Tools

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of backlog prioritization and ensure work readiness for a designated software delivery team.

• Work collaboratively with AEC practitioners, users, stakeholders, and others to identify workflow requirements and desired results.

• Convert AEC terminology, discipline-specific workflows, model and project data needs, and business challenges into actionable product tasks.

• Assess competing priorities, risks, dependencies, and delivery constraints.

• Guarantee that delivered work aligns with product objectives, user requirements, and representative AEC workflows.

• Lead discovery sessions with AEC practitioners, stakeholders, users, and subject-matter experts.

• Develop AEC workflows, user stories, business rules, acceptance criteria, and necessary supporting requirements.

• Recognize assumptions, dependencies, model and project data impacts, interoperability risks, and edge cases.

• Validate proposed solutions against their intended outcomes.

• Facilitate Agile team ceremonies and uphold a robust delivery process.

• Assist the team in eliminating blockers and addressing delivery challenges.

• Encourage continuous improvement through retrospectives and feedback on delivery performance.

• Maintain transparency regarding team priorities, commitments, dependencies, and risks.

• Collaborate with Product Design, QA, Engineering, Client Success, Product Adoption & Training, and Project Management.

• Align stakeholders around product decisions and delivery priorities.

• Manage dependencies, AEC workflow impacts, and data or interoperability considerations.

• Engage in release-readiness activities.

• Confirm delivered functionality against approved requirements and representative AEC workflows.

• Collect post-release feedback and integrate insights into future priorities.

• Take on progressively complex initiatives involving multiple AEC disciplines, stakeholders, workflows, integrations, data exchanges, and business processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in product ownership, business analysis, Agile delivery, software product development, solution delivery, AEC, or a related field.

• 3–5 years of pertinent professional experience in product ownership, business analysis, Agile delivery, software product development, solution delivery, AEC, or a related discipline.

• Proven experience supporting a software development team in roles such as Product Owner, Business Analyst, Scrum Master, Product Management, or a similar capacity.

• Professional AEC experience with a solid understanding of design and construction workflows, project delivery, and multidisciplinary coordination.

• Experience in translating AEC practitioner needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows, requirements, and backlog-ready tasks.

• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum delivery methodologies.

• Practical knowledge of Revit, sufficient to comprehend user workflows, terminology, model-based coordination, and product implications.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capability to collaborate effectively across both technical and business teams.

• Experience in balancing user value, quality, feasibility, delivery risk, and business objectives.

• A bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, Product Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, Design, or a related field is preferred; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.

• Certifications in Product Owner, Scrum, Agile, Business Analysis, or related fields.

• Experience with enterprise software, internal business applications, workflow tools, AI-enabled platforms, data-intensive applications, Engineering Tools, or digital transformation initiatives supporting AEC users.

• Familiarity with BIM, CAD, Autodesk Construction Cloud, design automation, model and document coordination, or integrations among AEC platforms.

• Experience with Azure DevOps, Microsoft 365, Jira, or comparable delivery management tools.

• Willingness to travel up to 5%, potentially across any or all 50 US states.

• Must be eligible to work in the United States in accordance with the employer's E-Verify program.
