Senior Product Modernization Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Define and take ownership of the multi-year roadmap for product offers platform modernization.

• Assess, choose, and implement platform solutions while constructing business cases for technology investments.

• Establish governance at the enterprise level for the creation and configuration of product offers, which includes approval workflows, version control, audit trails, and change management.

• Facilitate the migration of existing product offering infrastructure to the updated platform.

• Build and grow the platform modernization team.

• Set standards for the comprehensive creation, configuration, and deployment of offers within the consumer deposit portfolio.

• Ensure the precision and compliance of product offer configurations across core banking and digital systems.

• Manage and oversee the product offer library.

• Collaborate with Finance, Marketing, Technology, Operations, Compliance, and Legal departments on offer strategy, profitability, risk assessment, and delivery.

• Define the operational model and performance scorecard for product offer delivery across customer-facing channels.

• Lead enhancements to the platform that minimize operational risks, reduce manual efforts, and address system unreliability.

• Represent the product modernization function in governance committees and executive discussions.

• Analyze and troubleshoot issues, applying independent judgment to make decisions.

• Carry out special projects and additional responsibilities as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (4 years or equivalent) in marketing, business, or a related field.

• Over 8 years of progressive experience in deposit product operations, banking product management, or a similar area within a regulated financial institution.

• Proven experience in leading large-scale core banking product modernization, platform migration, or product rationalization initiatives.

• Extensive knowledge of consumer deposit product infrastructure, including product parameters, fee structures, eligibility rules, and dependencies on downstream systems.

• Strong technical fluency in platform strategy, business cases for technology investments, and specifications that are ready for implementation.

• Experience in leading cross-functional projects across Technology, Operations, Compliance, Finance, and Marketing.

• Demonstrated leadership in building, developing, and retaining teams.

• Background in financial services.

• Experience with core banking platforms.

• Knowledge of core banking platform configuration, parameter management, and enterprise governance.

• Experience in creating or scaling product modernization functions from fragmented or legacy environments.

• Familiarity with offer management platforms, product configuration tools, and API-based integration standards.

• Strong understanding of Reg DD, UDAAP, and compliance requirements for consumer deposits.

• A Master's degree, MBA, or another advanced degree is preferred.
