This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +6 more states.
• Develop and spearhead go-to-market strategies for Macmillan Learning's discipline-specific solutions.
• Analyze market and product data to formulate strategic marketing plans that guide marketing campaign initiatives, ensuring discipline solutions achieve company revenue and activation objectives.
• Lead cross-functional go-to-market teams to shape product development roadmaps and effectively position new products, features, and capabilities in the market.
• Create key themes and narratives to support product launches and releases.
• Understand and contribute to product and feature positioning and messaging to distinctly differentiate Macmillan Learning's solutions within the respective discipline markets.
• Gather market insights to develop effectively segmented positioning, draft personas, and messaging that brings technical concepts to life through storytelling and use cases.
• Provide product information and narratives to guide campaign strategies, content marketing asset development, website strategies, webinars, and other demand-generation tactics.
• Personally produce essential positioning and messaging documents, competitive analyses, sales enablement presentations, and data sheets.
• Act as the primary voice for market insights from prospects and current customers, offering clear direction on market segmentation, competitive landscape, differentiators, and opportunities.
• Establish and nurture a scalable internal feedback loop to comprehend customer needs, inform product roadmaps, ensure message effectiveness, and deliver solutions to identified challenges.
• Relay insights from market research and customer interactions to product management teams.
• Plan, execute, and synthesize relevant market research in collaboration with Performance Marketing, LSR, and Product teams.
• Analyze adopter flows and suggest mechanisms for providing seamless buyer and onboarding processes to enhance adoption and usage.
• Collaborate closely with Field Marketing, product teams, and sales managers to develop standardized sales tools, training, and insights that emphasize product value, excite existing customers, and assist in acquiring new business.
• Design and deliver impactful templates for sales presentations, sales battlecards, product positioning guides, product comparison guides, and competitive intelligence that can be easily tailored for specific disciplines while ensuring alignment with marketing strategies and responsiveness to market demands.
• Bachelor’s Degree
• A minimum of 2 years of product marketing experience (in any industry)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey information across departments and teams.
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude, experienced in a cross-functional role with highly distributed teams.
• Ability to analyze and synthesize data to identify and clearly define objectives and pathways for implementing new goals.
• Capacity to work independently and establish goals and vision in ambiguous or novel situations.
• Ability to quickly identify and respond to market trends.
• Technically proficient; capable of swiftly acquiring in-depth knowledge of our products, solutions, and industries.
• Strong presentation skills.
• 3-5 years of experience in technology product marketing, SAAS experience (preferred)
• Familiarity with PowerBI and Salesforce (preferred)
• Experience with AI-supported marketing workflows, tools, and analytics (preferred)
• Product Marketing Alliance certification (preferred)
