
Senior Product Marketing Manager – Cards & Spend Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +4 more locations.
• Develop and implement a product marketing strategy aimed at enhancing awareness, adoption, spending, and revenue growth for Mercury’s Cards and Spend Management offerings.
• Gain in-depth knowledge of our products, the market landscape, and our customer base to effectively communicate product positioning, messaging, and value propositions.
• Leverage both quantitative and qualitative data to identify customer needs and recognize gaps in the current products available in the market.
• Plan and execute product go-to-market strategies, focusing on audience segmentation, messaging, channel strategy, and performance measurement.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to shape the product roadmap, ultimately aiming to boost product adoption and customer growth.
• Work closely with Sales and Relationship Management teams to enhance sales success rates and identify product upsell opportunities.
• Establish a strong partnership with marketing and brand teams to create email campaigns, landing pages, advertising materials, case studies, social media posts, and public relations outreach related to your products.
• Be hands-on in executing tasks, which may include writing press releases, negotiating sponsorships, conducting customer interviews, or any other project-related activities.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience, including at least 3 years in product marketing within a technology company.
• Preferably, a minimum of 1 year of product marketing experience in the fintech sector.
• Expertise in product marketing, specifically in areas like personas, positioning, messaging, pricing, and go-to-market strategy.
• Broad marketing knowledge: you comprehend various channels and content types, and how to effectively utilize them to convey the right message to the appropriate audience at the optimal time.
• Outstanding communication abilities, with a knack for influencing and collaborating effectively across various levels of the organization.
• A strong strategic mindset capable of transforming market insights into practical plans and initiatives.
• Customer-focused – enthusiastic about engaging with customers and experienced in conducting customer research that informs actionable strategies and recommendations.
• Proficient in storytelling through data and testing hypotheses (experience with data analysis and SQL is highly advantageous).
• Adaptable with an understanding that in a rapidly growing startup, job responsibilities may evolve as priorities change.
