β’ Take ownership of the narrative: Craft and oversee SignalWire's category story, from the foundational positioning document to the language utilized in all customer-facing interactions.
β’ Drive messaging and positioning: Create clear, distinct messaging tailored for our developer and enterprise audiences. Conduct win/loss analysis, competitive research, and customer interviews to ensure that our positioning is evidence-based rather than assumption-driven.
β’ Lead category creation: Collaborate with leadership to define, name, and promote the Voice AI category. Develop frameworks, thought leadership content, and narratives for analysts and press that position SignalWire as a leading voice in a burgeoning market.
β’ Facilitate go-to-market strategies: Provide the sales team with battle cards, pitch decks, objection-handling guides, and competitive intelligence. Manage the launch coordination for new products and platform features from positioning brief to general availability.
β’ Be the voice of the customer: Conduct continuous interviews with developers, enterprise buyers, and partners. Transform insights into actionable intelligence that enhances product development, sales, and marketing throughout the funnel.
β’ Cultivate analyst and press relationships: Represent SignalWire's category perspective in discussions with industry analysts (Gartner, Forrester, IDC) and technology media. Assist in shaping the external narrative that clarifies our market's understanding.
β’ 6β10 years of experience in product marketing, with a minimum of 3 years in a technical B2B or developer-focused product role.
β’ You possess exceptional writing skills and a strategic storytelling ability that can simplify complex technical concepts into clear, engaging prose while maintaining essential nuances.
β’ You are research-oriented and ground your positioning in customer interviews, win/loss data, and competitive insights.
β’ You are a strong cross-functional collaborator comfortable working directly with founders, product teams, and sales in a dynamic, low-process environment.
β’ You are knowledgeable about the AI communications landscape and can engage credibly on the intersections of large language models, voice AI, and real-time infrastructure for both technical and business audiences.
β’ You have experience with analyst relations and market definition.
β’ A background in CPaaS, UCaaS, CCaaS, or real-time communications infrastructure, along with familiarity with Voice AI, conversational AI, or AI-native application development, is a plus.
β’ Experience marketing to both developers and enterprise buyers within the same product strategy is advantageous.
β’ Previous experience at a company that has created a category or successfully repositioned itself in a new market is also beneficial.
