This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Databricks Partnership Narrative: Take ownership of the messaging and content that articulates MinIO's position within the Databricks ecosystem, encompassing AIStor Table Sharing, Delta Sharing, Unity Catalog, Apache Iceberg™, and Delta Lake. Transform collaborative engineering efforts and architectural integration into co-marketing materials, reference architecture content, and customer-facing narratives that present Databricks as the leader and AIStor as the supportive data platform. Collaborate with Product and Marketing teams from both companies to ensure that MinIO's features and capabilities align with Databricks' latest offerings.
• Executive Presence: Serve as the representative for MinIO's marketing initiatives related to the Databricks partnership, showcasing the joint narrative at industry events, webinars, analyst briefings, and in discussions with executives from Databricks and customer organizations.
• Hybrid Analytics Positioning: Create the technical and business positioning for AIStor Table Sharing, acting as a conduit between on-premises data and Databricks cloud computing. Advocate for zero-copy, in-place data sharing as an essential feature for enterprises facing data sovereignty, time-sensitive needs, or scale limitations that necessitate keeping crucial datasets on-premises.
• Cross-Audience Translation: Convey value across the divide between infrastructure and data teams, the two groups responsible for the purchasing decision but often lacking a common language. Develop messaging that aids storage and infrastructure leaders in delivering tangible advantages to their data team counterparts, facilitating a co-selling approach for Databricks AEs and MinIO representatives that encompasses both sides of the customer organization.
• Partner Co-Marketing: Collaborate with Databricks’ marketing, product, and field teams to strategize and implement joint launches, co-created content, collaborative events, and co-branded technical resources. Synchronize launch schedules and messaging with Databricks' roadmap milestones and significant events like the Databricks Data + AI Summit. Establish lasting co-marketing initiatives that generate leads for both organizations.
• Solutions Marketing for Vertical Use Cases: Develop solution content tailored for verticals where regulated or substantial on-premises data intersects with an active Databricks presence. Focus primarily on financial services, healthcare and life sciences, manufacturing, and federal and public sectors, with future expansion into telecommunications, retail, automotive, and energy and utilities as the partnership evolves. Each vertical will feature a compelling, field-ready narrative anchored in actual customer results.
• Field Enablement for Joint Selling: Create and provide enablement content (battlecards, talk tracks, customer presentations, technical briefs, one-pagers) that empowers MinIO sellers and Databricks AEs, Solutions Architects, Partner Solutions Architects, and Field CTOs to confidently co-sell in hybrid analytics scenarios. Clearly articulate the joint commercial value for Databricks account teams: every on-premises table made accessible through AIStor represents new Databricks compute usage.
• Product Launch Execution: Spearhead the go-to-market strategy and implementation for AIStor releases that impact the Databricks ecosystem. Work cross-functionally with Product Management, Engineering, Field, Sales including Channel Partners, and Communications to ensure launches that enhance the pipeline and resonate with our technical advocates and buyer personas.
• BDR and Demand Generation Support: Collaborate with the BDR team to design outbound sequences, post-event follow-up initiatives, and inbound nurturing tracks aimed at Databricks-focused accounts. Provide the funnel with appropriate messaging at every stage.
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in product marketing, with at least 3 years concentrating on data platforms, analytics, lakehouse architectures, or strategic partner marketing.
• Proven experience in managing partner co-marketing initiatives with strategic technology partners such as Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, Google Cloud, or other significant data and cloud platforms.
• Strong technical knowledge of lakehouse architecture, open table formats (Delta Lake, Apache Iceberg™), data sharing protocols, and the modern data and AI ecosystem. Adept enough to engage credibly with Databricks product and field teams and technical buyers at customer accounts.
• Demonstrated capability to simplify complex technical features into clear, distinctive narratives for both economic buyers (CIO, CDO, CTO, CISO, VP of Data and Analytics) and technical champions (Director of Data Engineering, Principal Data Architect, Databricks Platform Owner, Lead Data Engineer).
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience in developing sales enablement content and customer-facing materials. Strong, prose-oriented writing without over-reliance on bullet points where narrative works better.
• Proven track record in executing high-stakes product launches with cross-functional coordination across Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and external partners.
• Self-motivated individual capable of working independently in a dynamic, remote-first environment.
• Direct experience collaborating with or alongside Databricks, including familiarity with Delta Sharing, Unity Catalog, Databricks SQL, Mosaic AI, or the expansive Databricks Data Intelligence Platform.
• Hands-on knowledge of Apache Iceberg™, Delta Lake, and the open lakehouse ecosystem, including catalog technologies and table format interoperability.
• Background that includes experience in technical roles (engineering, solutions architecture, technical pre-sales, or developer relations) or in data and analytics functions.
• Familiarity with MinIO, S3-compatible storage, or high-performance object storage designed for AI and analytics workloads.
• Experience in marketing within regulated sectors (financial services, federal, healthcare) where data sovereignty and on-premises data gravity influence purchasing decisions.
• Required experience marketing to North American enterprises. Familiarity with EU and UK enterprise data sovereignty considerations is a plus, with the skill to adjust tone for understated, factual communication for the European market.
• Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)
• 401K with 3% Contribution
• Pre-IPO Stock Options
• At least 12 Public Holidays
• Flexible Time Off
