• Take charge of and enhance the product area roadmap for a period of 1 to 3 quarters, balancing customer requirements, technical investments, and business objectives.
• Define how features such as data preparation, modeling, and analytics integrate into cohesive systems.
• Make informed trade-offs between customer needs, technical limitations, and business impact.
• Consider the entire system: how the product facilitates the complete lifecycle from asset ingestion to reporting and decision-making.
• Acquire a comprehensive understanding of structured finance workflows, including asset-backed securities (ABS), MBS, CLOs, or similar instruments, as well as loan-level data ingestion and normalization, cash flow modeling and scenario analysis, tranche structuring and risk analysis, and regulatory and investor reporting.
• Directly engage with customers (banks, asset managers, fintechs) to identify constraints, inefficiencies, and unmet needs.
• Frame intricate financial and operational challenges into clear, actionable problem statements.
• Integrate AI tools (LLMs, copilots, workflows) as a fundamental aspect of product development rather than an afterthought.
• Create lightweight prototypes (prompts, workflows, internal tools) to validate concepts prior to developing full specifications.
• Identify opportunities where AI-driven capabilities and automation can significantly enhance user workflows.
• Ensure that AI features are reliable, explainable, and comply with enterprise requirements.
• Collaborate closely with engineering and design teams to deliver high-quality product functionalities.
• Write clear and structured product specifications based on data and user insights.
• Define success metrics and monitor adoption, impact, and effectiveness.
• Track execution progress, identify risks early, and foster cross-team alignment.
• Maintain high standards for usability, reliability, and product integrity.
• Align engineering, design, sales, and customer success teams around shared goals.
• Communicate product direction through well-organized documentation and structured decision-making.
• Quickly resolve ambiguity and misalignment to sustain execution momentum.
• Contribute to product positioning and narrative through artifacts like one-pagers, demos, and customer-facing materials.
• Oversee the operational health of your product area, including performance monitoring, feature adoption, issue triage, and iteration cycles.
• Establish and refine repeatable processes that enhance execution speed and predictability.
• A minimum of 5 years of product management experience in data platforms, analytics products, or financial technology.
• Strong grasp of structured finance concepts and workflows, such as ABS, MBS, CLOs, etc.
• Proven experience collaborating closely with engineering teams to deliver technical products.
• Background working with complex, data-intensive systems.
• Capability to translate domain-specific challenges into clear product requirements.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex financial and technical concepts.
