This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide expertise in payments, conduct market analysis, and offer recommendations that align with the vision, positioning, growth strategy, and business objectives for Accela’s Payments portfolio.
• Identify and evaluate market opportunities, emerging trends, competitive challenges, regulatory updates, partnership possibilities, and potential investments for growth.
• Perform market research, Total Addressable Market (TAM) assessments, buyer segmentation, customer validation, win/loss analysis, and competitive intelligence.
• Create business cases, investment proposals, adoption strategies, pricing inputs, revenue models, and executive-level portfolio recommendations.
• Act as Accela’s payments subject matter expert on payment providers, merchant services, payment facilitation, gateways, digital wallets, fraud prevention, settlement, reconciliation, PCI compliance, and innovative fintech capabilities.
• Lead sanctioned go-to-market initiatives, which include messaging, positioning, launch planning, sales enablement, customer-facing narratives, ROI materials, and competitive battlecards.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Support, Professional Services, partners, and executive leadership to drive pipeline development, expansion, customer adoption, and strategic sales initiatives.
• Establish relationships with customers, prospects, payment providers, fintech partners, and industry stakeholders.
• Evaluate build, buy, partner, and acquisition opportunities, recommending initiatives that foster payment innovation, revenue growth, and customer value.
• Suggest AI applications for fraud detection, transaction intelligence, payment optimization, customer support, market insights, operational efficiency, and portfolio decision-making.
• Work alongside the delivery product team and Engineering to guide roadmap prioritization and execution.
• Monitor and report on adoption rates, revenue growth, retention, customer satisfaction, market penetration, portfolio performance, and overall business impact.
• Serve as a Product Owner on the SCRUM team, managing the roadmap, prioritizing the backlog, handling dependencies, leading go-to-market strategies, and providing education across departments.
• Over 7 years of experience in Product Management within enterprise software or SaaS environments.
• At least 5 years of direct experience in the payments industry.
• Extensive knowledge of payment ecosystems, including payment providers, merchant acquiring, gateways, digital wallets, fraud management, settlement, reconciliation, payment orchestration, and compliance.
• Proven experience in launching products, supporting sales teams, and enhancing customer adoption.
• Strong understanding of PCI requirements, payment regulations, risk management, and fraud prevention strategies.
• Experience in conducting market research, competitive analysis, strategic planning, and developing business cases.
• Demonstrated ability to influence executive stakeholders and lead cross-functional projects through data-driven insights.
• Excellent communication, presentation, storytelling, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Technical proficiency in APIs, integrations, cloud platforms, and SaaS architecture.
• Experience utilizing AI, analytics, and data-driven strategies to enhance product strategy and business outcomes.
• Preferred: Experience working with State and Local Government, GovTech, or Civic Technology.
• Preferred: Familiarity with payment facilitation, embedded payments, payment orchestration, ACH, card processing, and alternative payment methods.
• Preferred: Experience in leading portfolio strategy, growth initiatives, strategic planning, or investment governance.
