This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in implementing content and audience monetization strategies throughout the USA TODAY Network by providing scalable technical solutions that increase revenue and enhance user experience.
• Establish and guide the strategic vision, milestones, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the growth of content monetization.
• Collaborate with the Content Growth team to make data-driven product decisions that foster revenue and audience expansion.
• Identify, assess, and develop AI-driven and autonomous monetization opportunities.
• Specify requirements for monetization platforms, including user stories and acceptance criteria for development teams.
• Work alongside Engineering on backlog management, sprint planning, testing, release coordination, and post-launch validation.
• Offer operational and technical assistance for content syndication, licensing, community platforms, and affiliate integrations.
• Oversee internal monetization systems, which include Obituaries, Legal Notices, and 1PAD activation.
• Assist with content and audience analytics solutions, reporting, data pipelines, and actionable insights for monetization.
• Aid in technical evaluations, implementations, and optimizations for content, monetization, syndication, and licensing partnerships.
• Take ownership of functional and user-based testing, quality assurance, and solution validation.
• Track product performance data, pinpoint optimization opportunities, and enhance product performance and customer satisfaction.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in technical product management or a similar role within digital, media, or revenue platforms.
• Proficient understanding of CMS platforms and digital publishing workflows, including content creation, distribution, and syndication.
• Experience collaborating with APIs, data pipelines, and system integrations alongside engineering teams.
• Familiarity with content, audience, or revenue analytics solutions, such as GA4 or custom reporting platforms.
• Knowledge of first-party data and Customer Data Platforms (CDPs), including activation, segmentation, and data governance principles.
• Demonstrated experience working in Agile environments, encompassing backlog management, sprint planning, testing, and release coordination (using JIRA/Confluence).
• Ability to assist in solution and sales engineering efforts by translating technical capabilities for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities across Product, Engineering, Data, Editorial, Revenue, and Sales teams.
