Senior Product Manager, Messaging

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the jobseeker messaging product domain and establish portfolio-level KPIs.

• Determine which messages to send, to whom, when, how many, and through which channels.

• Enhance applications, job seeker activation and retention, reduce unsubscribes, manage complaint rates, and boost revenue from email placements.

• Design, execute, interpret, and resolve experiments while focusing on long-term business sustainability.

• Collaborate with engineering teams responsible for the messaging platform.

• Partner with recommendations and matching teams to improve ranking and match quality.

• Work alongside marketplace teams to affect supply and demand results.

• Safeguard deliverability, sender reputation, compliance, and opt-in/opt-out systems.

• Advocate for the job seeker perspective through user interactions, research, and messaging strategy formulation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of demonstrated success in product management.

• Proficient in SQL.

• Experienced in A/B experimentation.

• Background in managing email, push, or lifecycle messaging products at a consumer scale.

• Knowledgeable about engagement volume and user trust trade-offs.

• Familiar with utilizing machine learning to address user challenges.

• Experience in delivering product features driven by ranking, relevance, or recommendation models.

• Enthusiastic about engaging directly with users and conducting user research.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Capable of collaborating effectively across engineering, data science, design, and go-to-market teams.

• Highly motivated and able to work independently.

• Preferred: experience in a two-sided marketplace.

• Preferred: experience in developing message selection, frequency capping, channel orchestration, or growth/CRM automation systems at scale.

• Preferred: working knowledge of email deliverability, sender reputation, and compliance regulations including SMS/RCS.
