This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the learning content roadmap by establishing priorities, sequencing initiatives, defining scope, and transitioning projects from concept to launch.
• Determine which content and curriculum opportunities to pursue and prioritize across the product range.
• Ensure the quality of the learner experience with content, maintaining high standards of excellence.
• Adapt test prep content in response to changes from test-makers to ensure accuracy, relevance, and competitiveness.
• Articulate the reasoning behind decisions made on the instructional content roadmap and foster enthusiasm among stakeholders.
• Conduct research and analysis to enhance the digital content experience and boost the market value of the content.
• Define high-priority content improvement initiatives and build consensus to initiate these projects.
• Keep track of the competitive landscape and trends in learner experiences to pinpoint needs, identify product gaps, and uncover roadmap opportunities.
• Lead cross-functional program planning, research, and development efforts across the product portfolio.
• Collaborate effectively with leaders in Product, Editorial, Instructor Development, Technology, and Operations.
• Ensure that roadmap initiatives are well-defined, interdependencies are recognized, and sequencing aligns with business priorities.
• Potentially oversee additional content team members as the function expands.
• A bachelor’s degree is required.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in product management, content strategy, or a related area.
• At least 2 years in a senior or leadership role.
• Capability to develop and manage a content roadmap while translating strategy into practical initiatives.
• Strong research and analytical abilities, utilizing data and qualitative insights for content opportunities and prioritization.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
• A proactive approach, demonstrating ownership in uncertain situations, urgency, and resourcefulness.
• Excellent storytelling skills to convey the rationale, opportunities, and path forward for initiatives.
• Comprehensive understanding of content systems, content development processes, and methodologies for process improvement.
• Familiarity with test preparation, educational publishing, or digital learning products.
• Direct experience in test preparation is a significant advantage.
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Previous experience managing direct reports and fostering their professional growth is preferred.
