This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee a strategic and expanding hydronic systems portfolio segment for the North America Data Center business unit.
• Assess market trends, customer demands, gaps in the Trane portfolio, and the competitive environment.
• Launch new offerings through engineering development and production processes.
• Manage relationships with sourced products and strategic suppliers.
• Establish product strategy, lifecycle management, multigenerational product plans, new product development, commercialization, customer research, and go-to-market strategy.
• Lead the Hydronic Solutions Product Growth Team.
• Investigate emerging technologies in data centers.
• Analyze Make vs. Buy decisions and explore potential M&A or partnership opportunities.
• Direct product line strategy, long-term planning, P&L, and annual operating plans.
• Oversee revenue, margin, market share, and product line performance trade-offs.
• Develop and implement channel strategy.
• Address daily product line and supplier requirements while identifying opportunities for profitable growth.
• Create and execute multigenerational product plans, including positioning, pricing, costs, margins, and customer value propositions.
• Align product strategy with peer portfolios, systems, services, and contracting initiatives.
• Define customer Critical to Quality specifications in collaboration with market research teams.
• Initiate and support business cases for new product development initiatives.
• Design and implement marketing and commercialization strategies for new products and enhancements in collaboration with strategic suppliers.
• More than 5 years of experience in product management or strategic marketing.
• Proven P&L leadership experience is essential.
• A bachelor's degree is required.
• A technical bachelor's degree is preferred.
• An MBA is highly desirable.
• Experience in data centers, the HVAC industry, and/or Lean methodologies is preferred.
• Strong customer focus and the ability to comprehend customer business impacts.
• Exceptional communication skills and executive presence.
• Capability to articulate a strategic vision and execute it to achieve business outcomes.
