This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Develop and implement strategies for product lines.
• Establish the product strategy and roadmap that aligns with company objectives and market opportunities.
• Balance innovation within the product line with excellence in operations.
• Create business cases for new product launches and the expansion of the product portfolio.
• Track product performance, market trends, and customer needs to pinpoint growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with field-based commercial teams (account managers, field applications scientists, and scientific affairs directors) to gather feedback from pharmaceutical, biotech, and academic clients.
• Collect market insights through conferences, publications, and key opinion leaders.
• Conduct and analyze voice of customer research to guide product strategy, requirements, and customer journey.
• Work alongside R&D to define product requirements, specifications, and performance metrics.
• Establish product positioning, pricing, and differentiation within the multiplexed immunoassay and proteomics market.
• Support the creation of marketing collateral and training materials for product launches.
• Responsible for the commercial success of assigned product line duties.
• Define and evaluate KPIs to monitor product line performance for ongoing improvements and lifecycle management.
• Conduct competitive product analysis.
• Develop strategies to address both direct and indirect product competition.
• Monitor competitor strategies and adjust product positioning as necessary.
• Collaborate with Assay Development, Quality, and Operations to ensure successful product development programs.
• Partner with Global Sales Management to identify, create, and implement specific tactical marketing and training initiatives.
• Work with Sales, Scientific Support, Customer Service, and Finance to develop and improve processes that enhance marketing effectiveness and customer loyalty.
• Provide mentorship and support to other Product Managers.
• Assist team members in developing product messaging, market sizing, financial forecasts, pricing, and other areas of marketing expertise.
• Bachelor's degree in life sciences, marketing, communications, or a related discipline.
• At least seven years of experience in product management.
• Strong understanding of product management best practices and a proven track record in positioning, managing, and marketing Life Science products across various customer segments throughout their lifecycle.
• Proven knowledge of the principles behind immunoassay platforms, their development, and their applications in various research areas.
• Familiarity with the technical and biological challenges of developing and commercializing tools for measuring intracellular targets.
• Knowledge of related technologies such as flow cytometry, ELISA, and Western blot.
• Exceptional organizational, planning, and time management skills, capable of managing multiple and frequently changing priorities and complex issues while meeting tight deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively across different formats (e.g., documents, presentations, public speaking).
• Ability to build and maintain relationships by fostering trust and respect among cross-functional stakeholders.
• Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively as an effective team member.
• Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical abilities, with the capacity to handle complex situations and exercise sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to be creative, collaborative, proactive, and self-motivated in executing and completing assigned responsibilities.
