Senior Product Manager, Heartbeat

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the product strategy and roadmap for Heartbeat’s Energy Management System.

• Define the system’s trajectory and growth across various markets.

• Synchronize roadmaps and provide guidance, support, and collaboration with fellow Product Managers.

• Collaborate closely with engineering to ensure system reliability.

• Guarantee daily dependability of the system for households.

• Enhance control and optimization across solar energy, batteries, heat pumps, air conditioning, and EV charging.

• Maximize value derived from every kilowatt-hour.

• Draft specifications, conduct discovery, prioritize tasks, and oversee shipping processes.

• Ensure compatibility of the system with hardware ecosystems in Germany and other operational markets.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in Product Management within Energy Management Systems, IoT, embedded/edge, or comparable control systems.

• Proven history of managing a system that other product areas rely on, along with determining its future path.

• Ability to mentor other Product Managers within the domain.

• Line management experience is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Background in delivering reliability and scalability, not just new features.

• Technical acumen to engage in discussions about protocols, fleet operations, and data pipelines with engineers.

• Proficient in English.

• Knowledge of German is a plus.

• Must be based in Germany.

• Bonus: Experience with HEMS, inverter/battery/EV control, Modbus, OTA, and gateway security.

• Bonus: Expertise in optimization, forecasting, or dispatch systems.

• Bonus: Experience in launching an Energy Management System across multiple countries.

• Bonus: Line management experience of Product Managers.
