Senior Product Manager – Energy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Take responsibility for the software roadmap in the Energy sector and enhance product offerings.

• Collaborate daily with development teams to drive project success.

• Establish domain direction and work alongside Product Managers to align roadmaps, provide guidance, resolve obstacles, and ensure quality.

• Collaborate with operations to guarantee that products are both valuable and functional.

• Create specifications, conduct discovery sessions, prioritize tasks, and oversee product launches.

• Influence the development of future energy products, focusing on direct marketing and flexibility solutions.

• Convert the realities of the energy market and regulatory landscape into product requirements for Germany and future markets.

• Define metrics for product health, including procurement quality, market participation, activation, and service level agreements (SLAs).

• Coordinate the presentation of prices, products, and activation processes to customers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in Product Management, with a background in energy, utilities, or similarly regulated environments.

• Proven experience in owning a product domain across multiple teams and determining its future trajectory.

• Ability to mentor other Product Managers within a domain; line management experience is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Strong understanding of energy markets, tariffs, energy retail, or energy trading practices.

• Experience managing a software roadmap in collaboration with engineering teams within a regulated setting.

• Familiarity with unit economics and product performance metrics.

• Proficient in English.

• Proficiency in German is a plus.

• Must be based in Germany or open to relocation.

• Bonus: Knowledge of flexibility, balancing markets, virtual power plants (VPP), scheduling, and Transmission System Operator/Distribution System Operator (TSO/DSO) interactions.

• Bonus: Understanding of energy regulations in Germany and other European countries.

• Bonus: Familiarity with optimization and dispatch systems and their connection to market products.
