This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Assist in the strategic product portfolio for the North America Datacenter business unit.
• Evaluate market trends, customer requirements, portfolio deficiencies, and the competitive environment to propose new offerings.
• Support and co-manage sourced Product Growth Teams to address portfolio shortcomings.
• Investigate emerging datacenter technologies and assess Make vs Buy, M&A, and partnership possibilities.
• Direct product-line strategy, long-term planning, P&L management, and annual operational plans.
• Balance trade-offs among revenue, margin, and market share.
• Formulate and implement channel strategies to enhance market coverage and closure rates.
• Oversee daily product-line and strategic supplier requirements while identifying lucrative growth prospects.
• Create and implement multigenerational product plans that encompass positioning, pricing, costs, margins, and customer value propositions.
• Synchronize product-line strategy with peer portfolios, systems, services, and contracting initiatives.
• Establish customer Critical to Quality specifications in collaboration with market research teams.
• Initiate and advocate for business cases related to new product development programs.
• Work alongside program managers and cross-functional development teams to ensure timely project delivery within CTQs and budget constraints.
• Develop and execute marketing and commercialization strategies for new offerings and product upgrades in partnership with strategic suppliers.
• Over 5 years of experience in product management or strategic marketing.
• Experience in P&L leadership is essential.
• A bachelor's degree is mandatory.
• A technical bachelor's degree is preferred.
• An MBA is highly desirable.
• Background in datacenters, the HVAC sector, and/or Lean practices is preferred.
• Strong customer emphasis and an understanding of how the company’s domain can positively influence customer business outcomes.
• Excellent communication skills and strong executive presence.
• Ability to convey a strategic vision and implement it to achieve business outcomes.
• Capability to lead cross-functional internal and supplier teams.
• Results-oriented product management experience.
• Proficient in supporting product strategy, lifecycle management, multigenerational product plans, new product development, commercialization, customer research, supplier relationships, and go-to-market strategy.
