This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +3 more states.
• Provide support for a strategic segment of the North America Datacenter business unit’s portfolio.
• Analyze market trends, customer requirements, portfolio deficiencies, and the competitive landscape to introduce new offerings.
• Establish and implement product strategy.
• Lead cross-functional internal teams and suppliers.
• Oversee product life cycles and multigenerational product strategies.
• Direct new product development initiatives, commercialization, customer research, supplier relations, and go-to-market strategies.
• Achieve or surpass revenue growth objectives, maintain or increase market share, and enhance margins.
• Engage with the Datacenter Product Management team to bolster Trane’s footprint in the datacenter sector.
• Assist in co-leading sourced Product Growth Teams.
• Investigate new technologies within the evolving datacenter ecosystem.
• Assess Make-versus-Buy decisions as well as M&A acquisition or partnership possibilities.
• Spearhead product line strategy, long-term plans, P&L, and annual operational plans.
• Balance trade-offs between short-term and long-term product line performance.
• Formulate and implement channel strategy.
• Address day-to-day requirements of the product line and strategic suppliers.
• Create and execute multigenerational product plans that include positioning, pricing, costs, margins, and customer value propositions.
• Align product line strategy with peer portfolio roadmaps and broader system, services, and contracting initiatives.
• Define Critical to Quality specifications for product lines and related systems.
• Initiate and support business cases for new product development initiatives.
• Collaborate with product development teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within CTQs, and on budget.
• Develop and implement marketing and commercialization strategies for new offerings and enhancements to existing products.
• Over 5 years of experience in product management or strategic marketing.
• Required P&L leadership experience.
• A bachelor's degree is necessary.
• A technical bachelor's degree is preferred.
• An MBA is highly desirable.
• Experience in datacenters, the HVAC sector, and/or Lean methodologies is preferred.
• A strong passion for understanding customer needs and how the domain can positively influence their business outcomes.
