📋 Description

• Take ownership of the CRM vision and roadmap from start to finish: Convert the company's CRM strategy into a structured plan with defined, measurable outcomes.

• Provide guidance and implement a data model evolution strategy: Gain deep insight into how supporters, households, donations, soft credits, and communications are currently structured, and lead the transition toward a more robust and scalable model.

• Enhance segmentation and Lists: Equip nonprofits with advanced filtering capabilities and facilitate their journey toward data-informed segmentation.

• Develop CRM as an acquisition tool: Launch top-of-funnel features that attract new organizations to the platform.

• Ensure communications effectively drive donations: Manage the insights and metrics that empower nonprofits to leverage email and direct stewardship to enhance their fundraising efforts.

• Implement excellent product practices: Engage consistently with nonprofits, differentiate between genuine issues and stated requests, establish success criteria prior to launch, assess outcomes afterward, and iterate towards success.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years in product management, with prior experience in developing a B2B SaaS product or platform. You have taken ownership of outcomes from start to finish and made sound decisions amid uncertainty and limited resources.

• You possess a strong understanding of data models. You can collaborate effectively with engineers on schema, uniqueness constraints, migrations, and architectural tradeoffs. You are adept at deploying solutions on an evolving model and have experience with real data migrations. You recognize that the data model constitutes the product in this context.

• Experience with mass communication tools is essential. This could involve email marketing, transactional emails, in-app notifications, or SMS; you are knowledgeable about the construction, utilization, and evaluation of communication channels. You understand the indicators of success for senders and can guide customers towards best practices.

• You have developed data-intensive B2B SaaS products. This includes CRM, marketing automation, segmentation, analytics, or other similar data platform products, where the primary challenges involved data modeling and migration rather than merely designing screens and commenting in Figma.

• You are fluent in data. While you don’t need to be a data engineer, you are comfortable with JOINs and writing CTEs. You are eager to analyze user data each day and support your decisions with insights gained from data.

• Your focus is on building for non-technical, resource-limited users. Our users often consist of single-person fundraising departments or overwhelmed development directors. Understanding the needs of mission-driven, under-resourced organizations is essential.

• You excel in discovering, deciding, and translating. You enjoy direct communication with users, can discern critical signals from noise, and can convert vague requirements into specifications that engineers can act upon. You are equipped with analogies to effectively convey technical realities to non-technical stakeholders and leadership.
