This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
• Formulate and implement product strategy encompassing cloud infrastructure, virtualization, and storage elements.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on system architecture, Requests for Comments (RFCs), design assessments, and technical documentation.
• Propel product advancements in performance engineering, scalability, and infrastructure optimization.
• Conduct competitive analysis and influence product trajectory based on insights and market dynamics.
• Partner with CPU, GPU, storage, and networking hardware suppliers to create integrated, performance-enhanced solutions.
• Synchronize roadmap and delivery across virtualization, cloud management platforms, and infrastructure tools for Cloud Service Providers (CSPs), Managed Service Providers (MSPs), and enterprise vendors.
• Oversee cross-product initiatives and guarantee integration with both internal and external tools.
• Recognize emerging technology trends and steer long-term innovation investments.
• Assist in defining and enforcing product quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), customer use cases, and performance metrics.
• Direct strategic product initiatives for Virtuozzo Infrastructure and Virtuozzo Storage core platform solutions.
• Profound technical knowledge in virtualization, storage, or networking and security within distributed systems.
• Proficiency in containers, hypervisors, orchestration, or GPU virtualization.
• Expertise in block, file, or object storage, including erasure coding, tiering, caching, or replication.
• Proven experience in crafting Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) with comprehensive technical details.
• Capability to unify engineers, architects, and kernel developers around common product objectives.
• Experience leading technical design discussions, architecture evaluations, and participating in RFC processes.
• Strong cross-functional leadership skills across Quality Assurance (QA), DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), benchmarking, and compliance.
• Familiarity with FIPS, GDPR, and PCI-DSS standards.
• Ability to analyze performance metrics, establish KPIs, and make data-driven product decisions.
• Experience collaborating on patentable technologies or filing intellectual property in infrastructure sectors.
• Exceptional communication capabilities and skill in fostering alignment among product, engineering, and field teams.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical product management OR 5 years of hands-on experience in OS/storage/networking development or system-level Linux administration.
• Must be a contractor based in Europe.
