Director of Product Management – Pricing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement product portfolio and pricing strategies for the Canadian market.

• Direct the strategic vision for the Canadian product assortment and pricing framework.

• Create pricing strategies that enhance margins, competitiveness, and customer value.

• Establish and track performance metrics for portfolio and pricing.

• Convert market insights and business priorities into actionable plans and cohesive product offerings.

• Enhance management of the entire product lifecycle from ideation through commercialization and optimization.

• Introduce product management and pricing practices to improve decision-making and execution.

• Incorporate product and pricing considerations into commercial and business planning.

• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Technical teams to uncover growth opportunities.

• Lead by influence and promote cross-functional cooperation within a matrix organization.

• Ensure that strategies are well understood and embraced throughout the organization.

• Build, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing product and pricing team.

• Foster a culture of accountability, curiosity, and continuous improvement.

• Deliver strategies that yield measurable enhancements in revenue growth, margin performance, market positioning, and customer value.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in product management, pricing, or similar commercial leadership roles.

• Demonstrated success in product portfolio strategy and lifecycle management.

• Proven experience in new product development and commercialization frameworks (stage gate).

• Established track record in pricing strategies and margin enhancement.

• Experience in complex, cross-functional settings.

• Strong business and financial acumen, with experience in business case modeling.

• High-level strategic and critical thinking capabilities.

• Excellent data, analytical, and planning skills.

• Ability to produce data-driven insights that combine quantitative and qualitative approaches into actionable strategies and plans.

• Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.

• Capability to provide clear and concise insights and recommendations to senior leadership.

• Proficiency in translating high-level strategies into actionable team objectives.

• Necessary computer, software, and MS Office skills to support the role.

• Industry experience in product development is a plus.

• Ability to lead with curiosity and humility.

• Skill in influencing and aligning stakeholders at all levels.

• Capacity to simplify complexity and focus on impactful outcomes.

• Ability to manage efforts in a complex, competitive, and fast-paced environment and guide teams through uncertainty.

• Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.
