This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Enhance n8n’s Core Platform to ensure it is scalable, dependable, secure, and adaptable for the company's upcoming growth phase.
• Take charge of the Core Platform's product strategy and roadmap in collaboration with Engineering and Product leadership.
• Determine priorities for foundational investments based on customer impact, enterprise requirements, technical risks, and engineering efforts.
• Lead product discovery initiatives for technically intricate challenges faced by enterprise clients and internal customer-facing teams.
• Oversee efforts to improve scalability and reliability of the execution engine, which includes managing worker pools and facilitating distributed execution.
• Enhance trigger reliability and execution performance for both Cloud and self-hosted enterprise deployments.
• Develop secure and adaptable code execution methodologies.
• Organize and launch major or impactful platform versions, including migrations, stakeholder communications, and risk management strategies.
• Define success metrics and ensure the squad is accountable for achieving these outcomes.
• Connect the Core team with Product, Sales, Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, and Support teams.
• Recognize cross-functional platform requirements in internal product roadmaps and translate them into actionable Core Platform initiatives.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Product management.
• A minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience working on platform, infrastructure, developer-focused, or backend/API products.
• Proficiency in reasoning about distributed systems, execution models, and the trade-offs related to reliability and scalability.
• Capability to engage credibly in architecture discussions with senior engineers.
• Knowledge of non-functional requirements.
• Proven track record of leading cross-team technical initiatives that involve delivery risks, ideally including migrations or significant changes.
• Ability to prioritize tasks amidst ambiguity and connect foundational efforts to customer and commercial results.
• Strong sense of ownership, autonomy, and the ability to drive results independently.
• Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Familiarity with self-hosted, air-gapped, restricted, and customer-controlled deployment environments.
• Nice to have: proficiency in reading code or creating prototypes.
• Nice to have: experience in B2B SaaS enterprise settings with a focus on security, compliance, or deployment intricacies.
• Nice to have: experience collaborating with security teams on code execution, isolation, or compliance matters.
• Nice to have: knowledge of workflow automation, orchestration, open-source, or products within the developer community.
• Nice to have: a writing-first approach for improved clarity and alignment.
