📋 Description

• Take ownership of the integrations roadmap and its sequencing, which includes connected systems, order, depth, and rationale.

• Ensure the quality of requirements and specifications for every integration delivered.

• Manage technical relationships with partner product and engineering teams in collaboration with engineering leads.

• Determine the completion criteria for an integration based on the customer workflow.

• Create reusable integration patterns and foundational platform elements.

• Convert business context and customer workflows into comprehensive technical specifications that address data models, synchronization behavior, authentication, rate limits, and failure management.

• Develop acceptance criteria based on use cases.

• Identify edge cases such as conflicting writes, permission alterations, schema changes, and unsuccessful syncs.

• Validate assumptions through discovery calls, real data analysis, and sandbox testing.

• Conduct structured specification reviews with engineering and maintain involvement throughout the build process.

• Make decisions on mid-build scope and specifications while effectively communicating trade-offs.

• Scope collaborative work and negotiate technical strategies with external partners.

• Keep track of partner roadmaps, deprecation schedules, and reliability metrics.

• Set product direction and prioritize competing demands from customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.

• Engage in communication with executives, engineering teams, go-to-market strategies, support, and external partners.

• Define and oversee integration success metrics, which include activation rates, sync reliability, time-to-connect, support load, and rework rates.

• Enhance requirements and technical discovery practices across the product team.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years in product management, with at least 3 years focused on integrations, APIs, platform, or partner-facing products.

• Proven success in delivering non-trivial third-party integrations, ideally multiple, with personal accountability for requirements.

• Technical proficiency: ability to interpret API documentation, test endpoints, analyze data models and sync architecture, and contribute to engineering design discussions.

• Strong written specification skills; a redacted writing sample is required during the application process.

• Direct experience in negotiating technical approaches with external partners or vendors, including altering a partner’s strategy.

• Ability to navigate ambiguity during the discovery phase and demonstrate rigor in the commitment phase.

• Strong intuition regarding customer workflows.

• Experience integrating with portfolio management or financial planning platforms, advisor CRM systems, or AI meeting/notetaking solutions.

• Background in wealth management, fintech, or another data-sensitive and compliance-focused sector.

• Experience in developing an integration platform or framework.

• Previous exposure to partner enablement activities such as SDKs, sandbox environments, certification programs, or public API documentation.

• Must reside in one of the following states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Kentucky, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, or Washington.

• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
