This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more locations.
• Take ownership of the product strategy, roadmap, and execution for AI Gateway functionalities within Duck Creek’s Agentic AI Platform.
• Outline capabilities for API management, MCP gateway, model and tool connectivity, extensibility, and marketplace enablement.
• Convert needs related to the AI ecosystem, integration, agent interoperability, and architecture into epics, features, use cases, requirements, user stories, and measurable outcomes.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Architecture on patterns for discovery, registration, authentication, authorization, invocation, routing, lifecycle management, versioning, monitoring, and deprecation of the gateway.
• Specify requirements for integrating agents developed by Duck Creek, partners, and customers utilizing open, standardized, and governed interoperability patterns.
• Establish safe access capabilities for models, agents, tools, and APIs, encompassing permissions, entitlements, tenant isolation, usage controls, secrets management, audit logs, policy enforcement, and governance workflows.
• Work alongside AI, data, security, and governance teams to foster trusted context, responsible AI controls, and dependable execution across insurance workflows.
• Enhance the experience for developers, partners, and customers through onboarding processes, documentation, certification patterns, diagnostics, testing support, and release preparedness.
• Assess trade-offs among openness, control, innovation, customer value, technical complexity, security, compliance, and operational readiness.
• Define measures for adoption, reliability, security, latency, performance, invocation success, policy violations, and business impact.
• Coordinate with internal teams, partners, and customers to ensure product decisions align with platform objectives and customer requirements.
• Facilitate release planning, readiness, and communication by clarifying scope, dependencies, risks, acceptance criteria, and anticipated outcomes.
• Stay informed about emerging patterns in AI platforms, agent interoperability, APIs, model routing, governance, and developer ecosystems.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in fields such as Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, Business, Insurance, Product Management, or a related area.
• At least 6 years of experience in technical product management, platform services, software engineering, AI product management, platform-as-a-service, or related positions.
• Proven experience managing complex product capabilities in platforms, integration, development, APIs, AI, or ecosystems.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, including product, engineering, architecture, security, customer-facing teams, partners, and business stakeholders.
• Ability to translate unclear business and technical challenges into product strategy, roadmap priorities, product requirements, release plans, and measurable outcomes.
• Understanding of API and integration concepts, covering authentication, authorization, routing, rate limiting, throttling, provider management, and observability.
• Familiarity with AI gateways, agentic AI, model routing, tool connectivity, and AI ecosystem patterns.
• Knowledge of responsible AI practices, AI security, prompt injection risks, policy enforcement, auditability, and governance workflows.
• Proficiency in REST, OpenAPI, MCP, A2A, or comparable interoperability protocols.
• Understanding of cloud-native platforms, multi-tenant SaaS architecture, event-driven systems, data services, and enterprise security patterns.
• Knowledge of identity and access management, secrets management, tenant isolation, permissions, entitlements, and usage controls.
• Capacity to influence stakeholders without direct authority.
• Ability to articulate intricate AI gateway, ecosystem, integration, and security decisions in straightforward business language.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country where the job is located.
