• Delve into design challenges thoroughly — consider various approaches, assess trade-offs, and reach a well-informed conclusion.
• Clearly communicate design choices with assurance: explain the rationale behind selected paths, the alternatives that were explored, and any intentional omissions.
• Maintain a high standard of excellence — supported by evidence from your portfolio and design process.
• Transform technically intricate product concepts into experiences that are intuitive and seamless.
• Cater to both administrative and end-user personas — audiences with distinctly different mental frameworks, workflows, and levels of risk tolerance.
• Minimize cognitive load while preserving functionality; make complex tasks feel simple.
• Take ownership of and enhance a design system and component library that scales across Windows, Mac, web, and mobile platforms.
• Leverage in-depth knowledge of platform-specific design standards while ensuring a cohesive PreVeil identity.
• Ensure that every interface feels like a unified product — not four distinct applications.
• Oversee the entire design lifecycle: discovery, user research, wireframing, prototyping, high-fidelity design, and developer-ready delivery.
• Create clear and comprehensive specifications that engineering can implement without confusion or extensive back-and-forth.
• Proactively utilize AI tools to enhance iteration, refine craft, and expedite idea exploration.
• Conduct and synthesize user research to form an accurate understanding of users' thoughts, workflows, and challenges.
• Incorporate evidence of user needs into every design decision — relying on data rather than instinct.
• Recognize behavioral patterns among users and translate these insights into improved product decisions.
• Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams — communicate effectively, present work early, and iterate based on genuine feedback.
• Be the designer that others can depend on: produce high-quality designs that are well-considered, meet deadlines, and proactively address issues.
• Approach work with a low ego and a maker-first mentality — this role is hands-on and demands high output.
• Over 7 years of experience in product design, with a portfolio showcasing strong design judgment and expertise in enterprise UX.
• Experience in designing enterprise software, preferably in the realm of collaboration or productivity tools.
• Proven ability to distill complex systems into straightforward, user-friendly experiences.
• Extensive knowledge of cross-platform design standards, including Windows, Mac, web, and mobile.
• Experience in managing and expanding design systems and component libraries.
• Proficient in designing for diverse personas (administrators and end-users).
• Proficient in Figma and experienced in actively using AI tools to enhance and refine design work.
• Comfortable working independently, navigating ambiguity, and thriving in fast-paced settings, with a strong proactive approach.
• Strong communicator — able to guide any audience through design decisions and inspire confidence in them.
• Collaborative, dependable, and humble — receptive to feedback and committed to improving the team dynamic.
