Senior Product Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Head of Product to define strategic direction, and take ownership of the ideation, development, and launch of features that enhance news comprehension from various perspectives.

• Convert bias, factuality, and source-intelligence signals into straightforward, intuitive experiences that a diverse consumer audience can grasp and trust.

• Work alongside Marketing, Analytics, and Customer Success to foster subscriber growth and retention, aiming to transform the everyday reading experience into lasting incentives for upgrades and loyalty.

• Evaluate product metrics and user feedback to uncover opportunities and enhance product performance.

• Leverage a combination of quantitative data, experimentation, and user research to reveal user behavior insights and guide prioritization decisions.

• Maintain a high standard for quality and craftsmanship throughout the news-consumption experience.

• Deliver high-impact enhancements at a consistent pace, balancing swift iteration with our commitment to impartiality and subscriber trust.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of product management experience, primarily focused on user-centric consumer products with large, engaged audiences.

• Proven experience in subscription or B2C products; analyzing conversion, retention, and engagement metrics, while increasing usage across mobile and web platforms.

• Outstanding product judgment and an innate understanding of what constitutes a delightful and trustworthy experience.

• Strong analytical capabilities and proficiency in experimentation methodologies.

• A technical background, or demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with engineering and machine learning teams.

• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management, including interactions with founders and senior leadership.

• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment while providing structure.

• A genuine interest in media literacy and the information ecosystem.
