This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.
β’ Conduct and manage competitive analysis and product analytics within the industry to discern market trends and guide product decisions.
β’ Deliver insights that shape the strategy, positioning, and ongoing management of Life & Retirement products.
β’ Collaborate with internal stakeholders on product initiatives and offer product expertise during the planning and execution phases.
β’ Oversee monthly competitive benchmarking for life and annuity crediting rates, maintain competitor benchmarks, monitor market rate activities, prepare competitive reports, and summarize marketplace developments for executive leadership.
β’ Direct the creation and upkeep of competitive intelligence reports, benchmarking tools, and industry product analyses.
β’ Investigate competitor products to pinpoint opportunities for product enhancements, new product ideas, and strategic differentiation.
β’ Facilitate cross-functional discussions with teams in Product Strategy, Actuarial, Marketing, Distribution, Operations, Information Technology, and other relevant stakeholders.
β’ Collect business requirements, document decisions, and ensure consensus on product features and functionalities.
β’ Provide support and supervision for modifications and enhancements to illustrations.
β’ Act as a subject matter expert on assigned product strategies and management initiatives.
β’ Identify and implement enhancements to competitive intelligence capabilities, product analytics, development processes, and illustration system functionalities.
β’ Share knowledge and best practices within the Product Management team.
β’ High School diploma or GED equivalent is required; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
β’ A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in Life and/or Retirement product management, competitive intelligence, or product strategy.
β’ Strong understanding of Life & Retirement products and associated regulatory requirements.
β’ Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
β’ Superior written and verbal communication skills.
β’ Capacity to handle multiple complex priorities while ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
β’ Ability to work independently and effectively collaborate across various business functions.
β’ Experience with third-party competitive intelligence tools and data sources is preferred.
β’ Experience in data analytics and visualization is preferred.
β’ Familiarity with life and retirement illustration/quoting platforms is preferred.
β’ Knowledge of state and Compact product filings is preferred.

β’ Fully remote or hybrid work arrangement.
β’ Occasional travel to industry conferences and meetings for professional development.
β’ Periodic travel may be required.
