This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of two products along with their respective product delivery teams.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure that acceptance criteria are comprehensive, clear, and testable.
• Work closely with the Product Owner/Manager to guarantee alignment between Product and Engineering teams.
• Responsible for recruiting Engineers for the product delivery teams.
• Actively contribute to the codebase across the full stack and set a leading example.
• Mentor others to ensure the efficient delivery of high-quality business value, aligning engineers' career aspirations with the company's objectives.
• Assess the team to offer direct feedback on performance and potential, providing technical leadership through mentorship, coaching, and support.
• Spearhead the ongoing enhancement of Engineering practices.
• Ensure that team decisions align with Enterprise Architecture Principles and departmental objectives.
• Stay updated on cutting-edge software engineering practices and technologies while fostering a culture of collaborative learning.
• Aim to enhance the user experience positively.
• Capable of navigating and resolving complex issues.
• Responsible for the outcomes related to the company, technology, and team.
• Over 5 years of experience as a full-stack Software Engineer.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as an engineering manager; 5+ years preferred.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively amidst competing demands.
• Enthusiasm for collaborating with the engineering management team.
• Experience in designing robust and scalable solutions.
• Familiarity with unit testing and integration testing practices.
• Knowledge of modern cloud-native development (Docker, Kubernetes, Knative).
• Experience in facilitating collaborative software design sessions.
• Proven track record in leading the continuous improvement of Engineering practices, along with a willingness to learn new technologies.
• Proficiency with version control systems.
• Expertise in distributed architecture and microservices.
• Background in web-based application development.
• Strong understanding of SOLID principles and design patterns.
• Extensive experience in utilizing database technologies and patterns.
