Senior Product Engineer – Backend

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Foster innovation: Develop and improve products to scale Kota’s API and integrate additional offerings.

• Collaborate for success: Engage with various teams within Kota to enhance processes, ensuring outstanding customer experiences and operational effectiveness.

• Manage incidents: Act as a responder for technical issues, promoting a culture of learning without blame and continuous improvement.

• Design for the future: Investigate, conceptualize, and implement improvements that bolster our products and processes.

• Build and architect new features for our customer-facing APIs and SDKs.

• Streamline inefficient internal workflows into self-service features that enhance customer satisfaction and save time.

• Lead technical initiatives to address customer-reported issues as a member of the incident response team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in developing backend systems with proficiency in:

• .NET (we utilize the latest version 8+), SQL databases, ORM frameworks, and automated testing frameworks.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.

• Experience in creating API products within fintech, payroll, or benefits sectors is advantageous.

• You excel in collaborative settings and enjoy tackling intricate challenges.

• Proven experience working directly with product teams and designers, demonstrating a successful track record of delivering value to customers or users.
